Probably been done to death. 70s Foreman of the Ali or Frazier
fight vs. The comeback Foreman 1990 or later. I used to favor
70s Foreman, However Teddy Atlas got me thinking as he made some
obvious but valid points. Older Foreman was craftier, more patient,
smarter, possibly a better chin, and stronger mentally.Teddy favors
old Foreman to beat young Foreman. I have 70s Foreman TKO 3.
However depending on the referee, I can see old Foreman taking
an early severe beating, then catching a gassed young Foreman late.
    Thoughts?

Young George of Kingston to Zaire, inclusive, beats the best nineties incarnation.

Yes,the older version learnt to pace himself better, and was indeed more patient but this would n't help him against a monster like his younger self. Old George,as tough as he still was, would take too many shots and the referee would step in about the round 5 mark.

Young george is never the same again after literally killing his older self.

Young george can't take the mental trauma and actually retires on the spot preventing old george from ever manifesting and hence creates a paradox.

Not only would the promoter be charged with negligible homicide, he'd also have ripped apart the very fabric of space and time!

    Young Foreman takes it.

Do you think that the fact that Old Foreman remembers how his young self fought, and the fact that he knew his young one's tricks, style, weaknesses, strength, and that the young Foreman don't know Old Foreman's tricks would impact the fight?

I think Old Foreman would know exactly how his young self would fight, and prepare accordingly.

Whether that would be effective or not is another question entirely.

And it would take a combination of Sam Becket from Quantum Leap and Doc Brown with Marty McFly to repair the space/time continuum.
