How do boxers of old compare to todays? With regards skill, technique, sports.science.... could a 60s contender really have gone toe to toe with a live contender today? I see threads about Ali/Usyk but putting the weight divisions to the side.. how do modern boxing styles and performance compare with old styles? Didn't they box with the back of hand/ knuckle facing opponent way back when lol? Training today is far more advanced to get the most out of human performance.. The same question can be asked for any sport really... like physical match ups between 50s and 2018 football stars.. What say you?
