Obviously it doesn't work like that. But quite clearly saying HW today are a class above those of the 80's is bs.
It's the same with any sport. The modern athlete is usually better. Records are getting broken every year
When people talk about old timers, the never take in account what kind of skill the new age athletes got, just the oldies. If fighter A from 1950 had one decent skill, that is what he will use ALL the tim to beat the fighter B from 2016, Every sport is complex, but in every sport the athletes is getting better and better. Just look at this clip from gymnastics. The old timer is just way more skillful? Or? This content is protected
Archie Moore was pushing 40 if not old. Moore was a natural middleweight not light heavyweight. Ezzard Charles career was coming to a end. He continued to fight but clearly he has seen better days. Marciano fought washed up has beens. At least Stevenson fights guys who aren't 100 years old. I am pretty sure I put up the link from the first LaStarza fight. Most people ring side had Roland winning easy just like it put up the link to the Ted Lowry fight that every person ring side had winning easily and stated he could of knocked out Marciano whenever he wanted. I also named other fighters who were light heavyweights besides Stevenson who would beat Marciano. Why do you only keep mentioning Adonis?
There is no footage of either fight so unless you are 90 years old you didn't see any of those fights and if you are 90 years old you just want to believe Rocky Marciano won because he is your little TV hero. The writers at ring side had Marciano losing and there is no reason for them to try to put a black fighter who had a poor record like Ted Lowry did over Marciano. Maybe Marciano should of landed punches to Ted Lowry to make him pee but in 2 fights with him he couldn't hurt a 177 pound fighter with a career record of 70 wins and 68 loses.
Lol records in team sports are broken. How can you break a record in a sport like boxing? Unless you are talking about how many times a fighter defend the belt. Team records get broken because the rules change to make scoring go up because that is what fans want. That has nothing to do with athleticism and nothing to do with boxing. You know what this forum is about.
You know Moore was older and had over 200 fights so his body was worn down right? Did I not just explain how Ted Lowry kicked Marciano's ass and almost knocked him out? A much worse fighter than Adonis is.
Fury is not a bum your a bum and Fury would knock out every so called man in your gay little family Infact Fury would obliterate every wimpy little man in the entire history of your pathetic bloodline Fury took your mum in his caravan and fisted her with them BIG HANDS
Your 'explanation' posting one news article that said many had it 6-4 for Lowry? If you want to believe Stevenson could beat Marciano go ahead, everyone sees a different picture in their own mind. But you'll be a far flung minority to believe a slightly above average 39 year old LHW who isn't going to be in any record books could beat a man just because he had one close fight. Especially when the 39 year old has had his own 'destroyed by journeyman' issues. At the end of the day I'm pretty in favour of the belief that many older boxers have been given 80's era Kung fu status where they're completely invulnerable and gods in the ring. But in reality, as great as they were for their era - and that for me is a big factor in P4P ATG, etc, status, the era they fought in, how great, developed and accomplished the men they beat at the time, were - there's been plenty of modern men that would of given them tough fights and losses. But regardless of me believing that and still ultimately, I cannot picture Rocky Marciano losing to Adonis Stevenson lol
If their is no footage how can you state with any certainty that Marciano lost those fights ? You're very stupid aren't you fake-u-lese
