Holmes outboxed the guy who put the guy to sleep who outboxed Foreman. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Larry circled counterclockwise very well, and that's the movement template Morrison used on George. Holmes was only decisioned cleanly by Holyfield. We saw how Larry clowned Mercer when Ray foolishly pursued him into the corners. Foreman was considerably slower. George was completely dominated by Moorer until the sudden knockout reversal, so completely that Dundee asked him between rounds if he was all right. Old Larry was no chinny former LHW MM. He was smart enough to follow Foreman's template for his own 1990's comeback, and freely admitted it in televised interviews. This one would come down to speed and skill. Holmes would beat George to the punch, slip and smother with clinches, and his jabs would be darting in and out right after Foreman started attempting his own heavier and slower jabs. Having said all that, it would be interesting to know Holyfield's take on this pairing. (Bigfoot Martin was another common opponent who went ten rounds with Foreman and Holmes, but Evander's 12 rounders with George and Larry in '91 and '92 respectively obviously would provide the best baseline for comparing.) I expected Larry to win their scheduled match by decision. Too much speed, too much skill, and Holmes wouldn't have needed to move that much with his jab and straight right. He could have hit without being hit, scoring from far enough away that George could not have brought his punching power or physical strength into play quickly enough to be a factor. Foreman was there to be hit. Larry wasn't.
The WAY to beat any Foreman was to outbox him. Holmes was smart enough and still retained a great jab to turn the trick.
Seriously ,tell me honestly... if it is not pure trash ... 90s holmes stopping 90s foreman Jesús,is more probable that marciano would outbox ali
Just laughing at your response. Neither would stop the other. Noway Foreman is stopping Holmes for mine.
But foreman had the one shot ko power that holmes never had,so foreman won and probably holmes would not be that lucky
