Ruiz was completely exposed in this fight. I don't think anyone picked Hasegawa to win this fight. RD 9 was action packed, and a potential rd of the year.

Nah, few people hinted at it in the prediction league and there's a small contingent of posters here who are ecstatic about the win.

Cool use of the word exposed by the way brah. Definitely not a doing the lowest common denominator thing here.

How was he not completely exposed. Ruiz having the WBC belt was a complete joke. Hasegawa won this fight with ease, the fact that Ruiz ever challenged for a world title was a joke. Hasegawa was contemplating retirement if he lost this fight. Remember this is a guy who got blasted out by Kiko Martinez.

Ehh that was the flurry of the year, not quite round of the year, and I was kind of expecting it, as Russell just mentioned, I brought it up on Kirk's thread that Ruiz had a glass jaw and could be beaten, I should have gone with what my heart was telling me instead of going with the crowd on this one. Ceja already exposed him, and Hasegawa polished him off.

Why the **** do people persist in using fan cam footage when the TV footage is out there? FFS! ...and this was 12 hours ago...thanks for a bloody history lesson!

Something that isn't history - Ruiz went STRAIGHT to hospital due to his facial damage - right eye and nose.

It wasn't his glass jaw that got exposed. Hasegawa just all around out-boxed him. Ceja and Hasegawa's wins were completely different, so that's a bad comparison.

I picked Ceja to beat him as well, the first time, and Ceja was starting to turn the tide and was outboxing him as well. I'm very happy Hasegawa won, and Ruiz was exposed even further, but I can't say it was a shock to me. Ruiz has wins over a bunch of bummish fighters, he didn't belong at world level.

Really? I actually remember Ruiz out-boxing Ceja for the most part in the first fight, but then getting caught. I thought Ruiz would destroy Hasegawa personally, i was shocked as hell. Ruiz looked like a D-F level opponent, the fact that he ever got a title shot is a joke. It really shows that world titles mean jack ****.

Well good for you lol. I thought it would be more competitive and gave Hasegawa a slight chance, everyone wrote him off in the Horacio Garcia match as well, and that backfired when he shut him out as well. Ceja was outboxed early but the tide was turning, Ceja had him figured out by the 4th and stopped him in the 5th IIRC.

Why don't you just post the TV broadcast of the damn figth that's been flying around the internet the last 6 hours? It was a lazy topic.

What do you mean good for me lol, what's with you, russell, and boxing prospect pmsing at me(mostly the other 2). One thing I can't stand about you boxing hipsters is that you guys assume that a lot of people in this forum even knew about this fight. I checked 3 pages back, and there wasn't one thread about it.

I want Hasegawa to retire tbh, because if he got destroyed by Kiko he's not going to get past a first defense. We all know they're going to feed him to a young killer which will result in him getting stopped again, he was saying before the fight that he'd retire if he lost, I think he should retire on a high note. He's had a very good career.

Lazy topic? Get the fk over yourself, this is an internet forum. What kind of social ****** says "...and this was 12 hours ago...thanks for a bloody history lesson!", instead of just ignoring a thread they already know the outcome to. I made this thread for people who had no clue that this fight happened, no one had made a thread about this fight.

"Real" fans of the sport don't use the word exposed as off the cuff as you do. You're not an actual appreciator of the sport. You're a fringe fan who can't appreciate the sport without bringing the sport itself down with your negativity.

Btw, this is the only video I could find. I would have posted the TV broadcast fight if it showed up in a search that I did in both Japanese and in English. Sorry that I'm not some boxing hipster *** that goes to all of these hipster sites, maybe instead of being such a whiny ***** you should just post the video yourself?
