I'd say the cut off point to there being a true difference is around 1925-35, personally. I consider, say, Armstrong and Robinson to have fought a modern style of boxing, unlike Wilde or Greb.

    Wilde
    Canzoneri
    Armstrong by a nose
    Duran
    SRR
    Greb
Langford & Jones is very close call.I think Sam is better, but can he deal with Roy's athleticism.

I agree; however the point was more to split tha pantheon of gloved boxing into two (roughly) equally sized peices and see what got coughed up. Robinson may have a "modern style" (i'd like that defined if you feel like it) but he belongs in the first half of boxing's first 120 ish years of gloved combat, haveing started as a pro in 1940.

Nobody would like too see different fighters in any of the births?

I think Arcel, who trained Leonard and Duran, would tell you without hesitation that Leonard was better, and would have won.

I'll also pick Robinson and Greb

Dempsey Ali is by far the hardest for me to call. Dempsey is very underrated, and would be more than just a handful for Ali. I still think Ali will find a way through his ability of "magic".
