Thanks, hope you like it. It's a novel, most stuff really happened, most names have been changed. You can get it as an ebook or PDF right to your computer for $3.00 US.

You can also read the 1st chapter on Amazon or on my site.

Is “I Fought Them All: The Life and Ring Battles of Prizefighting Legend Tom Sharkey” not good?

Loads of the earlier lower weight fighters.

Tons of ones no one really talks about Paddy Duffy, Ike Weir, Billy Murphy to name just a few.

Is there a George Dixon biography?

An idea I had was a triple biography on Dan Creedon, Jim Hall, and Billy M'Carty three of the top middleweights around the time of Bob Fitzsimmons fighting out of Australia.

I thought it was excellent. Good luck finding a cheap copy though.

Too many, unfortunately. It is understandable when someone like me, living in another country and not having interlibrary loans or physical access to different libraries, I have to rely only on what I can find online, but even then I'm trying to find 1) primary local sources; 2) all available primary sources. And I feel happy when I accidentally find a re-print of a report from an important source, that's not available online, in another newspaper. But no, these authors live in USA and they use one or two online newspaper archives and just go with what's available in them, using non-local wires, or quoting just one local newspaper from a city that had a dozen daily newspapers at the time.

I don't want to give exact names. The fact that they decided to write about this or that fighter is a great thing and I'm grateful to them for doing that. It's just that I am, as a boxing history researcher, expecting more writers to adhere to a standard set by Adam Pollack and Steve Compton (not that I don't see a way how their works could be improved too, but that's just me).
