If I were a top ten HW contender, I'd rather fight Foreman as he wasn't as fast and could be countered easier.

The only reason Tyson didn't slaughter them was lack of opportunity to fight them. Otherwise, I can see a similar demolition unfolding.

But let's see this from a different angle. The much bigger, much stronger Foreman could control a man as strong as OTHER fighters said Frazier was by merely extending his arms and completely knocking him off balance.
Could u counter Foreman if he missed a punch than extended his arms, and knocked u off balance? What if he connected with his jab and because of that great strength knocked u back a foot or two? How would countering go for you then?
Both men and their styles had their strengths and weaknesses, but Foreman proved it against a better group of fighters, and THEN came back after 10yrs off and well past his prime gave a prime Holyfield a better fight than Tyson did in two fights against Holyfield Slightly past his prime.
The only fighter that may have caused more fear than Foreman is prime Liston.

I can only remember Tyson, but the hysteria surrounding him was huge, and it cast a very long shadow.

There are a few knowledgeable boxing people at my office, and they are all still in awe of him, and see him as being better than anything that came after him!

Seen both workout....both were considered supermen, for awhile, or until they get nailed and both did get nailed and failed the ultimate test of boxing. That said it was young tyson, so young and so fast that some said he could become the greatest fighter p4i ever due to assests and youth along with boxing historical knowledge

I agree. Foreman absolutely destroyed Frazier. At that point, Frazier was seen as tough as nails and somewhat unstoppable after his wars with Ali, Quarry etc. For Foreman to destroy him the way that he did was far more impressive that Tyson blowing out an old Spinks.

Was it a joke ? Tyson didn't look dangerous againts Smith or Tucker… Bull****...The World champion poor muscle Smith fought with a very defensive tactic against Tyson. Why ? Because Tyson wasn't dangerous by your humble opinion. I hope you're in funny mood.

Do they consider Evander as being someone who came after him?

Is this about who is the most hyped or who was the most feared?

    Who said he wasn’t dangerous?

I said he wasn’t as dangerous, pr considered as such, as Foreman.

Tell me which part of the Bonecrusher fight scared the daylights out of Buster Douglas. Or anyone else for that matter.

You simply don’t see those kind of performances on Foreman’s prime record. Someone trying to survive simply got beat up more.

Seeing Foreman absolutely destroy Frazier and Norton who both gave Ali heck had me thinking he would not be beaten for a while and I actually feared for Ali’s safety before their fight. Tyson did not destroy anyone of Frazier and Norton’s caliber although destroyed mostly everyone else. I remember thinking both guys would be champion for as long as they wanted . I have to give a slight edge to Foreman in seeming more dangerous - he was far from the smiling, cheeseburger eating George on his comeback. In his prime he was sullen and quiet. Size-wise, he was pretty impressive for that time period.
