If it's 3 knockdowns in a round end the fight rule, Tyson's chances of victory skyrocket. If not, with Tyson and Frazier colliding in ring center, I still cannot see Frazier taking the clean combinations from Tyson he would be taking. Tyson was a harder faster and better puncher. The only way I'd pick Frazier (and Rocky as well) to beat Tyson is if they could last down the stretch which I doubt they could. It's styles plus the fact that Tyson would be landing vicious shots on a man who in optimal shape, weighs less than he does. Tillis and Smith were lesser fighters than Frazier but both had advantages Frazier wouldn't have against Tyson. Tillis had the mobile style and Smith had the height and size to continually tie Tyson up.

Yes, I don’t count that as prime anymore than I do Quick Tillis for Tyson.

But George rematched Peralta when he was coming into his prime and stopped him.

You mean the wisdom of Pat “Mr. Miyagi” Morita?

Or the brashness of Pat McAfee?

    Foreman.
Why ? because he was Listons, bigger, stronger, meaner, heavier, frighting, older brother.

"Don't put words in my mouth". Haha. Irony, it was my goal.
To me is scarry when a big pure muscle reigning world champion Smith (Who destroyed a granite-chinned Witherspoon in the first round right before Tyson. ) fought in a pathetic fear against a very green 20 years guy for the title.
But maybe i must accept your opinion because i think you would take Mike Tyson's greatest punches easily without a sign of a
    minimal fear.

It's very easy to spot Pat M because he automatically favors the more recent fighter wether it's a h2h discussion, legacy, or who had more skill. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he picked Marco Huck to beat Larry Holmes. He's basically the opposite of Janitor with none of the charm, wit, or actual boxing knowledge and puts on an air of self assured confidence and expertise--dismissing anyone who disagrees with his narrow narrative. He claims to have trained several boxers but it's evident that he sorely lacks in some key areas and hasn't provided any proof of any succeess he's had as a trainer.

What the **** are you even talking about?

Is this thread about whether Mike Tyson or George Foreman would intimidate me or you? No, it’s about whether they intimidate professional boxers.

No, I don’t want to fight either of them. I also don’t want to get sacked by an NFL player. Neither do you. What does that have to do with anything?

I’m saying, relative to George Foreman that Mike Tyson was not as intimidating. I have pointed out prime Tyson fights where no PROFESSIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CONTENDER BOXER would watch and say they don’t want a piece of that guy. Bonecrusher being one of them.

As I pointed out, Buster Douglas wasn’t one bit intimidated. He didn’t walk into the ring saying ‘OMG, I just remembered how Tyson clinched Bonecrusher for 12 rounds, I’m afraid he might clinch me’ — he walked in and said, ‘This guy is another boxer and I’m going to take him to hell and back’ ... and he did.

Haha... True you were relative. Too relative. Otherwise i don't know only one case when Foreman beat a Smith type
reigning World champion who was taller, heavier, bigger than him. Say an example ! And i'll change my mind and worship you.

I was talking about the topic of the thread.

That seems to be a challenge for some, yourself included.

    Nobody wants your worship.

You want to grade Tyson on a sliding scale because he was short? LOL. He was a heavyweight. That’s all that matters.

George fought Ron Lyle and Ken Norton, who were as tall as him (Ron a scant few pounds lighter, Norton a few more). Lost to Ali, of course, but he was basically as big as George. Cooney was taller and Foreman was an old man.

Tyson was splendid at beating up washed-up 1980s heavyweights. He made quite a living out of it. But when he fought fresher, younger competition it wasn’t always like that — Buster wasn’t scared, Holyfield wasn’t scared, Lewis wasn’t scared, hell he beat Ruddock twice but Razor wasn’t intimidated.

What prime George Foreman fight do you look at and say ‘he looks less intimidating than Tyson did against Bonecrusher, Buster Douglas and Tony Tucker’? Name one and I’ll erect a monument to you.

And Liston' best wins a very small glass-chinned Patterson who was destroyed by a mediocre fighter before the Liston fights.
True, similar situation Liston and Foreman never beat a big, strong muscular reigning Champion for the title. They looked scarry against
    smaller fighters.

That’s Pat M to a tee. I just saw he was the only one who picked 41 year old Povetkin to KO 41 year old Foreman in another thread lol

I directly asked him to give us some names of his fighters so we could see the products of his expertise in action and he wouldn’t do so and pretended such a line of questioning was beneath him ie he couldn’t answer because there are no fighters. He’s another fantasist.

Was Lyle reigning champion? And Lyle was smaller than Smith.
Norton was much more smaller by muscle mass than Smith and he had a glass-chin.
My last question: What was Smith's weight against Tyson and Norton's against Foreman ?

So your answer is that Tyson couldn’t fight with the big boys?

I don’t know what this has to do with anything. Goodbye.

Tyson could fight with big, strong fighters and he beat Smith or maybe you use different rules in Tyson's case.
