    Not at a new class, but ever. Anyone know? I was randomly on Boxrec and saw that Firat Arslan won the WBA Cruiserweight title at 37, his first title. Anyone been older?

    WBA WBC IBF WBO of course. None of this intercontinental super oriental power jap youth belt nonsense.

    Sam Peter. He became WBC champ 3 years ago, he was quoted as being 27, but as we all know with Nigerians, you have to reverse the numbers in their age, with that in mind I think that makes him the oldest ever HW champ.

    I'm bumping this thread.

    Apparently Luis Alberto Lazarte was 39 when winning his first title. Fragomeni won the WBC Cruiserweight title and 38 and 10 months.

    Anyone older?
