When I asked google AI this question they said Larry Holmes at 75. These robots think they so smart yet missed the answer by at least 17 years. Here I was expecting some super obscure fighter in their late 90s(which is probably the correct answer).

Ah, thanks for that info Scar. You do wonder with the less prominent boxers if their statuses have been duly updated on the general internet. Quick mental calc tells me Wayne lived to 76/77 yo.

 

I did recheck myself Ferg. It seems he’s still alive, no passing date recorded but I guess we need to be wary of oversights.

I did get a jump scare however, my search called up a Richard Dunn, an NZ boxing coach, who passed in 2001 at age 93.

The included pic for NZ Dunn did bear a passing resemblance to the old version of boxer Richard Dunn - but of our course our Richard wasn’t born in 1908 - otherwise he would’ve been about 67 when he fought Ali - was Richard hiding his true age, ala Sonny Liston?

Maybe we should check related censuses just to be sure. Lol.
