Oldest surviving former HWC... currently.

    The thought just occured that Ingo may be the oldest former HWC???? Although, I havent check to see is he is still in the world of the living??

    Its hard too imagine too many of the other surving former HWCs having a chace at becoming octagenerians.... considering the deterioration of Ali, the punishment Frazier took... Foreman, Holmes and Spinks may have a chance?? The current (The Heavies from the 80s onwards) list contain many heavies with very questionable blood streams, IMO.. and well advised hear-say..

    Is Ingo with us??? What are your thoughts on the longevity of the Moderns????

    I think it is Ingemar Johansson, he's still alive.. not very well from his disease, but he's enjoying himself, listening to jazz music all days.. or so I've heard :good

    Thanks mate. Its nice to hear he is in his element...always the stylist gentleman, Jazz would suit him in the latter years.

    Michael at a guess..???? Although, id be shocked if its true.. Leon is either dead.. or incapacitated from brain stem injury I believe.

    Micheal Spinks supposedly saved his money and is quite comfortable. Leon Spinks is dead broke, I've read a couple of down and out stories about him, he's either working as a cleaner in McDonalds, a school janitor or both.

    mate... late night around major Oz cities... McDonalds, 7/11 and supermarkets have security guards...seriously. The majority of them are bigger than Gary Coleman too...lol. Even the electrical appliance stores here have security.

    Yeah, after Mad Max Schmeling died at age 99 in 2005, Ingemar Johansson took over the reign..... However, at a quick guess, Ol' Ingo is only about 75 yrs old at best..... He's nowhere near the age that Schmeling was...... Cheers.....

    A friend of mine said Leon Spinks used to frequent a bar near Hattiesburg, MS and would get hammered and yell out to everyone about how he beat Muhammad Ali. I can't verify its validity but it seemed a bit random to be a lie since my friend was not really into boxing.

    Yeah, I read an article (Boxing News possibly) which said Leon was like a school janitor.

    Michael Spinks has a comforable lifestyle.
