Frank Bruno was fairly old when he won his first world title against McCall i think he was like 34 years old wasn't he ?

For a 1st time world title win, I think Thulani Malinga will be hard to beat, when it comes to this question - as he was a couple of months past his 40th birthday, when he beat Nigel Benn for the WBC SMW title in 1996.

I don’t think we need much research beyond our own eyes to determine he was born after the first War. Total rubbish that he was anywhere near 43 in 1962, though. 32 was the official, & certainly inaccurate age given, but if he was more than 35, it sure wouldn’t have been by much, going by all available data & simple common sense.

If anything, I think that simply using our eyes to guess Sonny Liston's age would be the one of the worst ideas ever though up. He looked exactly the same every year past his given youth.

Given the massive number of years involved? I’d have to disagree. It’s obvious beyond any doubt he was born after WW I.

I think Glen Johnson was 37 or so and about 50 fights into his career. For a modern guy that's a long time coming.

Nobody was claiming he was born before the end of the first war, even his sister's claim, which you dispute, was that he was born the year after. Lol

He lived a hard life. All bets are off on how you look later in life when your dad makes you the mule who pulls the plow and beats you every day.

I know you disagree with his stance on Listons birthday but what else do you disagree with him on?
