Maskaev looked very robotic and slow in the Peter fight, and then there is that little chin problem. However, I don't really have that many complaints about Haye fighting Maskaev in his first "major" heavyweight test. I still think Haye wins early, but would be very interested to see how it would go if the fight goes into the later rounds.
They aren't really reliable though when it comes to things like this. I'd wait for a real website to say something.
Boxingrec is by no means is a reliable source. They don't even have Peter vs. Klitschko anymore ,and when it was posted, it was under a wrong date.
It was on the front page of ESB as well... Whatever...... the polls still valid for hypothetical a match up...
Maskaev will probably beat Haye, all he has to do is land something solid and Haye will go sprawling to the canvas, his chin is that bad. I dislike both fighters, Maskaev was scared shitless of Peter, and did everything he can to avoid fighting him, I dont like Haye's personality much, as well as weak chin. I could care less who wins, just so long as the loser stays out of the Heavyweight picture for awhile.
Maskaev doesn't deal well with speed and power and has a bad defense. Haye though unproven at heavy, is too young, fast and powerful for him.
Maskaev during his prime (whenever that was) would have a decent to good chance of stopping Haye...... but at this point, i see an impressive KO victory for the Brit.
