Williams looks momentarily alarmed, but then remembers the last significant erection he achieved was before Vitali thrashed him. Maskaev feints but Williams doesn't notice or care. Someone in the audience shouts for Mike Tyson and Williams blinks uncertainly.

    Maskaev is carrying his arms low, keeping his chin down and head turned and moving in to clinch. Williams keeps jabbing wide of Maskaev, unable to catch him coming in. Clubbing shots behind the head in the clinch by Williams. Maskaev scores a 1-2 after the next break, pushing Williams into a corner. Break. Left hook to the body by Williams. Triple jab from outside by Maskaev, tilted forward and reaching in on tip-toes. Maskaev backs up. Clinch. Body thumps. Break. Left hook by Williams ducked. Clinch. Kidney punches by Williams in the clinch.

    10-9 Maskaev (Williams got leather on him but most of it was illegal)

    Valuev was a really good Heavyweight. Probably the best best Russian HW of all time. But IMO he was a little overrrated. Some people hype Valuev one of the all time greats. Ok now that he almost beat Marcianos 48-0 record and he is the biggest HW of all time, but his resume doesnt wa.rrent such praise. Maybe if he beat Haye but Valuev lost a close MD.

    The two open with a clinch and Maskaev falls as the referee breaks them. He struggles to get up, telling the referee that "his knee is wonky." Williams advices him to put some weight on it straight away to stop it seizing and Maskaev does this, but the exertion in getting up makes him nauseous. The referee inexplicably gives Maskaev time to recover, and the Williams corner implodes. The referee steps over to warn him whilst Williams laughs and points at his own second shouting "THAT MAN LOOKS LIKE A CLOWN."

    When the action is rejoined, Williams is momentarily alarmed after hurting Maskaev with a body punch. Makaev tells him it's okay, not to worry.
