Maskaev was nothing special either, but we are looking at both men at their very best. Maskaev at his best was a deadly puncher with good stamina, has a high work rate, a decent jab, and good overall skills. He is 3" taller, with a 7" reach advantage, and 40 solid Lbs. heavier. Size and power aren't everything but Maskaev had skills as well.

Yeah, Quarry beat an up and coming Lyle by decision, he also stopped Thad Spencer and Mac Foster. Lyle would get much better and Spencer and Foster were ****!

Quarry in his prime would go to the ropes and Maskaev being a big dumb slow banger would follow him. In his prime Quarry was great at working off the ropes and setting traps. Hed knock Maskaev out, no doubt about it.

Maskaev did have significant advantages in size and weight but its not like he was an overly physical fighter. He never really utilized those advantages in fights. He boxed in a stand up European style. That style would suit Quarry perfectly.

Foster was a tough fighter, good banger and Spencer was a top contender as well, Lyle did not get much better he got older, he just got in the ring with a better man

Rahman was known for his right, good power Jerry had a terrific left hook to the head & body and a heavy right hand....he often worked the body and went to the head but was cagey as well, He handled the big guys well
