Round 1 Maskaev is circling right, slowly. Beck puts up a very slow jab and reaches upward with his right. Maskaev easily slips the "combo" by moving to his right at a snail's crawl. Beck pushes out a slow lead right. No snap or speed on his punches. Maskaev comes forward in a sort of Philly shell, rolling his left shoulder with the knuckles pointing down on a vertical line, elbow straight. Body shots by Maskaev, finally letting his hands go halfway into the round with a jab and a pair of plunging rights to the soft belly. Beck bounces his back off the ropes and squirms past him. Push-down. Ruled a KD for Maskaev. 10-8 Maskaev
Beck is too scared to punch atsch Maskaev is there to be hit and Beck might catch him. But he wont even try it..

Round 2 Maskaev is jerking his neck and bobbling his head to either side while coming forward. Useless gesture, as Beck isn't even punching. They exchange light jabs while Beck moves backward. Beck's is falling well short. He seems to have much smaller reach, although Boxrec lists the difference as 1". Maskaev grazes the side of his face with a jab and then stuffs a right to the body. Beck leans into him and ties up. Break. Beck backs up and paws with jabs, then swings his upper body around wildly to avoid a Maskaev power combo. Beck is laid up on the ropes and covers up as Maskaev moves in, waiting to grab again. They wrestle across the ring and Viktor Panin orders a break. Beck jumps straight forward with a looping right and a left hook. Maskaev bends over to duck it and counters with body shots. More grappling. Beck spanks Maskaev on the backside with his right. Maskaev answers with some hammering rights to the body, only a few inches in front of the kidneys. 10-9 Maskaev 20-17 Maskaev
