Green, would be the best way to put it. His trainer is Viktor Petrochenko, who also handles Pirog. So I'm not sure what the deal is with Vlasov's arrested development. :conf
Round 5 Vlasov glides around Ajetovic and tosses long jabs to the face, which Ajetovic is exposing more now with his hands lowering and mouth dropping open to breathe through. Hooks to the body by Vlasov from outside, exacerbating Ajetovic's respiratory problems. Nice aerial combos by Vlasov, brushing the top of Ajetovic's head as he tries to get his defenses back up. 10-9 Vlasov 50-45 Vlasov
Pirog is a self made boxer and very smart men, who doesnt need tactical advices, so its hard to say something about petrochenko as trainer.
Round 6 Ajetovic is marching in through Vlasov's jabs and hatchet flurries, trying to slip an arm around him and sometimes faking an uppercut on the way in to perhaps get Vlasov's own arms to lift out of the way. Vlasov dances out of reach and pops long jabs to the forehead, then waits and shortens up his punches as Ajetovic marches in. Vlasov rattles off combos off the gloves of Ajetovic, then circles wide and turns his shoulders in rhythmically to look for spots. Vlasov is switching between orthodox and southpaw in midstep while circling, and letting short punches fly as Ajetovic turns and paws with hopeless jabs. 10-9 Vlasov 60-54 Vlasov
True. Yeah, didn't Pirog do the same thing as Proksa, teach himself to box watching footage of Americans?
He'd outbox either of them...only question is his chin. :yep Ajetovic sure isn't testing it for us. (although he didn't show any danger signs against Chilemba)
Round 7 Ajetovic is walking directly into jabs and short combinations, absorbing most on his forearms or letting them graze the top of his skull. Ajetovic tries to tie up and Vlasov keeps pushing him back into jabbing range and then speeding around him in wide circles to set up his work. A few hooks from Vlasov are starting to bypass the guard as he gets the correct angle and bend on them from mid-range. 10-9 Vlasov 70-63 Vlasov
Yeah i think he did. Pirog comes from gelendzhik, small province near my hometown. we dont have good boxing gyms in the north kaukasus, the most popular martial art in this region is sambo.
Round 8 Ajetovic is stooping to jab the body and quickly putting his shell back together. Vlasov lightly taps his gloves with jabs and rights, then begins to pick up speed pumping his arms out straight and mixing in hooks to the body. Ajetovic tries a big overhand right as Vlasov is pushing in, missing. He winds up on the canvas! Push or knockdown? Vlasov is working jabs and uppercuts up close now. Ajetovic tries to backhand jabs at him and flail with his right, but keeps missing as Vlasov steps smoothly around him using his long legs to quickly dodge and then resume his own attacks. Big combos by Vlasov putting Ajetovic on the ropes. Ajetovic manages to clap a right off Vlasov's cheek pushing forward to escape them. 10-9 Vlasov 80-72 Vlasov
Round 9 Vlasov is jabbing and slipping Ajetovic's lobs over the top by leaning the upper half of his long frame to either side. Vlasov pops quick counter flurries past Ajetovic's jab. Vlasov stands in front of Ajetovic and hooks at him, but catches a jab to the nose and a thump on the beltline. Ajetovic is pressing in as a southpaw now, right foot in front, and jumps at Vlasov with a right hook. Clinch. Break. Ajetovic keeps coming forward, now in an unclassifiable stance with neither foot in the lead and squared completely up. He goes for the body and misses. Ajetovic's best, and still didn't come near taking it. 10-9 Vlasov 90-81 Vlasov
