Exactly. People who think that because Oleg beat a bunch of nobodies and again knocked out Rahman - who has an even WORSE chin that Maskaev - that he can stand up to the punches of Sam Peter are DELUSIONAL.

Peter is going to DESTROY Maskaev. If Oleg makes it out of the first round, it will be an accomplishment. But he will be gone before the 5th - bet the farm on it. :nod

It all depends on whether Peter gets away with punches to the back of the head. If not, then I bet Oleg by late rnd TKO by very same blueprint in win over Rahman in their rematch.

Maybe Peter is over-confident, over-trained (which will be the excuse) and will be over aggressive. Oleg will counter. Fans are under-estimating Oleg's current physical strength and his dedication.
    Oleg by late rnd TKO

We win if it's good fight. I like the matchup, and am glad Maskaev isn't defending against some washed up easy touch. Fans need these match ups in heavy division, glad it's happening. Maskaev, if on top of his game, can win. One mistake though, and he is in trouble. Let's be thankful for this fight.

Yes, a good fight is more important than the winner. Rahman-Maskaev II was a good one, Maskaev-Okhello was a snoozer, so let's hope this one lives up to the former fight.

I wouldn't go that far - David Tua hits harder than Peter in my opinion. But I definitely agree that his chin hasn't gotten better with age - his defense is what has improved.

OM starts well but I see him tiring down the stretch and getting stopped late.

Wait a min..... in a diffrent thead you said Sam Peter already has the title around his waist.... With that being said Im sure you thought Peter was going to Destroy him... Now you say Maskaev UD?

And the fact that you wrote Maskev was number 17 ranked in your top 20 right now, yet he has a belt and at least deserves a top 5, you put Peter in number 2 (with a belt he doesn'town).... Are you seriously that stupid?

First you underrate Oleg Maskaev( the WBC Champ ) by listing him at 17, and listing Peter at 2, With the WBC tags next to his name.... and now your saying hes going to win? Make up your mind stupid ass.

Toney beat Ruiz who was a champion, so moch to you theory that wins over a fat ass former Middleweight are no signs.
BTW Peter will be in great shape and win by KO. If not he also would have the tools to win on points. Maskaev cant win this.

Yo, if Klitschko couldn't outbox Sam Peter to an EXTENT (he was knocked down three times yeah, back of the head blah blah don't turn your ****ing back to a fighter then or hold him over 90 times) don't expect Oleg Maskaev to.
