Peter is the favorate but he has koed no one in the top 30 to date. Duva got caught running off at the mouth and was forced to put his guy in the ring against Klithcko. He got owned. Fact is Peter has beaten no one that matters. To even be getting a title shot of Toney is a joke. 12 rds and no ko against a stiff like Toney does not hold well for his chance of getting a ko against anyone still breathing. The pressure is on Sam if he looses this one and he is done. That being said yes a early ko is Peter's best chance to win in this fight.

Peter will win in TKO 3rd round, Maskaev has no head movement and is easy to hit a far cry from James toney. Maskaev also tends to want to trade punches with oppenents, which will be a bad idea if he does decide to trade with Peter. There is no reason why Peter shouldnt win this fight.

If Peter can keep on the pressure, Oleg may fold. If Peter brings on
a slow pace, I think he gets outboxed.
    Mask by UD.

If Maskaev does win, it's not going to be easy. Nobody has had an "easy" time with Peter.

I'm taking Peter by early KO, but if Maskaev can last 5 or 6 rounds he has a good shot at a UD. Of the 6 fights in Peter's career that have gone past 5, only one has ended in a KO

There is no way in hell Maskaev is going to win, Im almost positive Maskaev will at least go down and probably get knocked out.

If you saw the fight you would know that Peter's head was used as a punching bag for the whole fight. Peter's tenacity got him 3 knockdowns ( I would argue only 2 were legit), but he got outboxed as badly as anyone can over 12 rounds.

Ive watches Maskaev over the years and his weakness is that he cant see wide punches coming, his payed for it time and time again. Well Peter is pretty much exclusive to wide punches so I think his going to win. Ill be rooting for Maskaev though.

Well, Ruskull and Jetski rarely ever go against a white boxer, so that I can understand. But those comments that because James Toney made him miss that Oleg will do the same are crazy.

What people don't understand is that fat ex-middleweight is hard as hell to land on flush. Sam is the only one who has had him rocked so often. And that says alot for a guy who is supposed to be a crude brawler. Oleg has virtually no defense in comparison to Toney. He's gonna get hit flush and knocked cold.
