if he goes to heavy like rumoured hes 6 foot 3 and weighs roughly 199 lbs for cruiserweight bouts(fight nite comes in around 215 lbs)....i think this guy can go up to 225 lbs no problem your thoughts ?
He should fight a couple of showcase bouts and try his stamina at his regular cruiserweight fight night weight and one at whatever weight he feels comfortable at putting on for HW. If he listens to armchair trainers on ESB/BN24 and jumps into a fight with a 6'6 Joshua and gets his ribs and jaw broken, because his jaw line is very pronounced on his face and he has no fat to cushion those blows, then I don't want to hear how cheated he was or ifs, maybes, and should haves.
Whatever weight he feels comfortable with whilst maintaining full strength and stamina. He's going to struggle to KO some of these fat boys so he'll need to outbox and outwork them whilst keeping them off him. If they can walk him down he will struggle.
This. He should definitely test the waters before fighting top competition at heavyweight. Usyk would be a complete fool to fight Joshua in his first fight at heavyweight.
Around 220 methinks. Slihjtly over his normal fight weight at CW. Definitely needs serious sparring and a few fight at HW, before he goes anywhere near AJ.
B/w 210-220. No more than 220. Any more than that could mean less speed, endurance and/or mobility. For perspective, Deontay Wilder was reportedly about 210 on fight night vrs Fury. If he'd been 225+, he might have experienced problems keeping up the pace for the full 12. Wilder is arguably more awkward, faster, and less likely to gas at 210-15 lbs.
