    True, I forgot that.

How good is Gonzalez in your opinion? Has a good amateur record, and both his losses were very controversial (IMHO he shouldn't have done worse than draw in the Pascal fight). However, despite having a reputation for power, Gonzalez's power didn't seem to do much against Shabranssky who doesn't have a good chin.

edit: remove incorrect comment about the Slava fight ...

His loss against Slava wasn't controversial IMO, Slava beat him 9-1, not sure what that one judge was scoring.

Thanks, I'm going to rewatch that one right now, because that wasn't how I remembered it off the top of my head ... but maybe I had the wrong fight in mind.

    Here we go :)

It was a back and forth war, but Slava landed more in almost every round, it was one of those one sided but still competitive fights.

Not sure. He has that amateur pedigree, is big, strong and durable and he has serious power in both hands. He is a bit crude though, especially for a Cuban with an extensive amateur career ((345-27). Gvozdyk is the better boxer and technician and he carries a heavy dig himself and obviously he was excellent amateur himself. Gvozdyk is much more skilled and better than Shabranskyy too. But Gonzalez is durable and he has that equalizer so Gvozdyk will have to wary of that.

    Brutal Gonzalez KO

Excellent fight for Gvozdyk, b8g fan of his and just like Usyk and Lomachenko he's going straight into the deep end with regards to hus opponents.

Excellent fight indeed, Gonzalez comes to fight with pressure, love his style.
I think the loser of this should face Shabranskyy or loser of Beterbiev-Barrera.

That would be like Christmas come early.

175 is the most stacked division in boxing at the moment imo.

As others have stated, excellent fight for Gvozdyk (esp. seeing all the other big names are tied up Ward/Kovalev, Beterbiev/Barrera, and Stevenson/(Monaghan lol).

IMHO this sort of fight is what Gvozdyk needs while waiting for his title shot, he'll gain valuable experience from it assuming (and it's by no means a foregone conclusion) he gets through.

Everyone is having tougher fights than Stevenson at 175.

Oleksandr has left Garcia, now being trained by Contreras, not sure if that's a good idea or not, he should join Usyk and hook up with Papa Lomachenko.
