Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs Eleider Alvarez

Good fight IF it happens. At the same time I feel sorry for Eleider Alvarez, been mandatory for years, played ball by fighting Bute and Pascal ....and the WBC makes him fight The Nail lol. Eleider gets no love from Al Haymon and I wonder why

 

I guess you can say it like that, Yvon Michel has basically used Alvarez as a way to stop other fighters from becoming Stevenson's mandatory.

Don’t feel sorry for him at all, if you keep taking step aside money why should anyone feel sympathy for you? The WBC said he could take the fight against Stevenson this year and he took the step aside money again!

 

He's made more money off of not fighting Stevenson than if he'd actually taken the shot.

 

Lol they actually have better records then Stevenson lol thats a joke for a world champion

 

Michel is a sorry ass promoter today compared to few years ago. He's got zero power at this moment. Cant decide fights, cant set up fight dates, cant negociate tv deals, same as everyone that works with Uncle Al.

If you didnt know, Michel had rented the arena in QC City for two dates, in Dec and in Jan but Haymon couldnt deliver the contract in time ( i.e convince Alvarez to step aside). And in feb there was Bute vs Alvarez, with no TV lol. How you gonna showcase Alvarez then ? Do they want to showcase Alvarez and give him that title shot? It was still a meaningfull fight but Al didnt give him as much as a Bounce tv date.
But Michel is getting paid still, he most surely doesnt give a **** who Alvarez fights and if its on TV or not, thats on Haymon now

 

In a way you're right, but it sucks for Alvarez too. He does the work, gets promised the fight, but everytime they offer him **** money, and fatter paychecks to fight someone else. I think his situation is unique today, all his mandatory fights are bigger financially than the title fight lol

He should take his father's advice and put on the trousers and show who's the man, but this situation does make you doubt yourself a little, even if you take the fight and become champ, who says you're gonna get good paychecks ? And its not like you can just wait and change promoters, you're still tied to Haymon, you're 'advisor' lol

 

Boo hoo, the guy is getting paid money for not taking a fight. I'm not being rude to you btw this is all targeted at Alvarez. No way are you gunna catch me showing any sympathy for someone who takes paycheck after paycheck for something then complains about it after.

Haymon offers his guys the options what they do after is on them. Alvarez is a joke and so is Stevenson neither guy really wanna prove their are the best they are just tryna get an easy payday where possible. Finally Stevenson is taking a good fight I hope Jack can pull it off and get rid of this clown and I hope Gvzodyk can blast Alvarez into obscurity amd we get Jack vs Gvozdyk.

 

I think Gvozdyk works Alvarez, but still wouldn't be surprised if Alvarez stops him.

 

I agree with everything you say and you're right but one has to wonder why isnt Alvarez being offered good money to fight Stevenson, or at least the same deal he got for Pascal and Bute. Its weird, but Alvarez has to take the fight or STFU like you say.
