Will Gvozdyk graduate or will he get left back?

The last guy hyped (Lepikhin) to beat Chilemba got taken to school. Gvozdyk was being hyped after his demolition of Mohammedi, but lost some luster after he struggled with Karpency.

This is a huge step up for Gvozdyk and Chilemba has been known to give the top fighters tough fights. I see this as a 60/40 fight in favor of Chilemba.

Gvozdyk better bring his best or he's getting his first defeat.

Gvozdyk is an entirely different animal from Lepikhin and Vlasov and is stylistically a nightmare for Chilemba, his footwork, positioning, control of range, punch selection, angles and speed will prove nightmarish for Isaac. Oleksandr didn't struggle with Karpency from round 2 to the stoppage in the least, Karpency was his first southpaw, most people struggle with southpaws, and the fact that he learned that lesson in round 1, quickly adjusted and dominated the rest of the match shows how high his ring IQ truly is.

Gvozdyk will go for the KO early if he knows better. Chilemba never steps in the ring to lose and brings his A game everytime.

Kovalev almost had him out, Vlasov had him hurt, Gvozdyk's accuracy will finally be his downfall, and he can take his time if he wants.

I don't know if he is ready for Chilemba yet. Sergey had 30 fights and was barely ready and struggled until the 8th. It is too early I think but Bob and his team know best.

I expect it to be a close decision for Gvozdyk at the end, with maybe a KD in his favor. I don't believe he needs a gift like Alvarez.
