Wowow! I just saw this on boxrec! :ibutt

Great fight isn't it? Gvozdyk apparently has a fight in 2 weeks, and then he'll go on to fight Nadjib Mohammedi. That's one serious step up.

He's #20 on WBC and Mohammedi is at #9 on IBF so I imagine winning these fights should place Gvozdyk somewhere along the top 10 in both sanctioning bodies. Possibly a belt shot late into the year? Kovalev and Adonis already has a mando (Alvarez & Barrera) so perhaps early next year.

Anyway.. How do you see this fight playing out? I can't wait!

Well at least this step up should be the advent of Gvozdyk's fights being televised from now on.

I just noticed it's on Pac vs Bradley undercard. That's one hell of an undercard.

    Abraham vs Ramirez
    Valdez vs Gradovich
    Gvozdyk vs Mohammedi
    Kavaliauskas vs TBA

Prospect Alexander Besputin is on the card too.

Surely it's going to be filmed and shown on the Top Rank undercard stream on the Top Rank website at least?

Most likely, maybe if we're lucky HBO2 will show it like they did the Montoya match in his pro debut.

Mohammedi has actually fought two Ukrainians before.

Oleksandr Cherviak who was 13-2-1 at the time and Anatoliy Dudchenko who was 19-2. Gvozdyk would've whooped both of them on the same night. Mohammedi did stop them both though and he's the only man to stop Cherviak and the very decent and tough Doudou Ngumbu. So his power has to be respected. Gvozdyk by stoppage is the pick though.

I've seen quite a few Mohammedi footage before the Kovalev fight. He's actually pretty good. This is a big test for Gvozdyk. I don't think it will be such an easy job for him unless Nadjib had his eye socket properly fixed.

Oh god I hope he's not still being managed by that insufferable attention ***** Tony Shalhoub looking cretin. I wanna punch that dude's lights out everytime I hear him speak.

Shalhoub is the taxi driver in this clip for those of you who don't know who he is.
