Think Dubois is being seriously under estimated here. He gave Joyce a lot of trouble and I've heard from good sources he KO'd Joshua in sparring. I'm picking Dubois by KO here as he will pull the trigger and pounce.

I have also long heard whispers about that but tbf, dropping AJ means sweet **** all when it comes to fighting Usyk. The path to beat the Cat is with speed and/or skill at (or at least very near) his own level, not size and/or power up to any level.

I don't consider him knockoutable under normal circumstances by any known extant active heavyweight.

A good body puncher might beat him.

They'll have to catch him and pin him down long enough to do lasted damage, which is far easier said than done.

This is a meaningless waste of time for both Usyk and for the fans. CW level Lerena by accident, already exposed his weakness to southpaw shots to the temple, but he remembered he was brought in to lose, backed off and calmly awaited his British stoppage loss. Usyk won't be so kind, when he hurts him... and he will, he'll finish him. Lets cut the ****, Dubois made Joyce look like Money May in there, sadly for him, Usyk is Money May in there.

That's fair - and probably true for anybody, however good they are - but are there any insanely good (and fast) power-punching pressure fighters at HW who go out of their way to put water in the basement as part of their style? They're kind of a rare unicorn in all of heavyweight history, honestly. You'll run out of a steam in a hurry trying to name guys north of 200lb known for being elite body snatchers. Fitzsimmons, Marciano, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield... ???

That would mean we had a once-in-a-lifetime talent very suddenly emerge. I'm not as up on prospects as in the past, but...

You don't have to be a math/stat kinda guy like me to find this interesting.

As I'm typing this the voting is 52 to 1 Usyk over Dubois. I'm sure the betting line will be closer, nothing is that sure. Clearly Usyk is more talented, but there are other factors. Least is that DD is moderately bigger and has a bigger punch. Yeah, yeah, I know so was AJ. The bigger factor where DD has a clear advantage is age, Usyk is 10+ years older. Usyk might continue to age well and have a few more good years left. But you never know when someone almost suddenly "gets old".

It can happen to any of us just in our normal lives due to an injury. A sporting event, especially an extreme 1on1 sport like boxing, magnifies even slightly getting old.

PS I know the voting here won't determine the betting line, b/c if it did the line might be off the charts !

Usyk won't allow it. He's training his ass off in the gym. He's too experienced.

Dubois, on the other hand, was knocked down thrice by Lerena. And he probably doesn't train as hard as Usyk.

Shane McGuigan said Dubois hurt Franklin in sparring and that he believes he would've stopped him with smaller gloves on.

Anybody can be stopped and Dubois puts 4-5 punch combos together very well. Usyk can outbox him but Dubois will have his moments against any fighter and he's a naturally bigger, more powerful bloke with youth on his side in this fight plus he will probably show up more motivated than ever before.

Fair enough I won't dispute there may be question marks over Dubois's chin after that pretty sure 1 or 2 of those knockdown were related to ankle injury he received from first KD though.

Anyway I think it's unlikely Usyk hurts Dubois early and if it becomes that sort of fight it favours Dubois. Either way you look at it Dubois is the bigger puncher in this fight.

Dubois' face would be a mighty mess when it ends.
