Seriously, if Kabayel had been fighting 3 times a year instead of just 1, then he would likely be fighting Usyk next, even if he fought total bums. Staying active is the cheat code in boxing; it gets you ranked, it keeps you in the media, and it generates popularity.

 

I don't know, man. Tyson managed the win over Entienne after Lewis, but then lost to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride. Pretty well cooked.

 

I suppose in the fullness of time, it's a name on the resume. But I'm not very interested.

What I think is really crap here is that Wilder gets another title shot, where more deserving fighters (e.g. Kabayel) are being frozen out, and one has to look at Usyk here in this 2 x Joshua, 2 x Fury & 2 x Dubois, has clogged up other fighters opportunities a lot already, and now Wilder gets a shot even though he is probably not in any top 10 on any sanctioning body or ring lists etc.

If he wants the names / money fights, just drop the belts and let others duke them out!

Usyk is probably testing the ground to measure people's reaction. If fans show interest and Usyk sees there's big revenue, he'll fight Wilder. Otherwise he'll go to another route.

 

It's such a complex matter.
We know why he wants to collect the last collector's card.
Of course Wilder being KO'd is a good thing. But can Usyk do it, not just win but brutally stop Wilder? And is it worth the price?
Imagine the money Wilder and Finkel will make from this.
How can Usyk live with himself?
We know how he mentally contorts it and pretends he's helping the world.
This is the same social ****** who thinks Chisora and AJ are his friends, who bows to Bellew.

It is a very disgusting act, gifting this to Wilder.
The more we live with it, the more we will see how vile it is, really.
It's utter selfishness from Usyk when he should be thinking of the impact on others and the world at large.

 

Hes a champion already but at the same time I know what you mean.

Usyk shedding the WBO makes me believe that Usyk will allow Kabayel get promoted to full WBC champ. Hes not "undisputed" anymore so I don't think hes going to care about losing another belt.

If Usyk fights after Wilder it will probably be once. I do not think Usyk is sticking around long enough for pressure to mount that would compel him to fight Kabayel and in that situation he'd rather retire.

 

Not as bad as Wilder. I wouldn't even rule out that version of Tyson giving prime Wilder hell for a few rounds just because of how poorly skilled Deontay is
