Well, the Golovkin vs. Martirosyan farce has set a precedent now, we can have major events only just announced officially and promotional fanfare begun with a scant week beforehand now, apparently. :nusenuse:

Usyk is going to take this but he's going to be very, very feel about some bodyshots.

It's not going to be Saudi Arabia, we know that.

There's money in Russia, but Usyk has nixed Moscow for sure; there seems to be a softening around Sochi though?

UK, can't see it tbh. None of our lot are going to purse bid it. So I think it will be Germany. Germany is surely the favourite right about now. But what's the problem? Why not a word?

Hell's Bells, according too Arab News, the contenders are:

    Las Vegas
    Australia
    Jedddah (nope)
    Russia
    Latvia

I'd love to think they'd do it in Latvia but I can't believe it really.

It's like fights don't need a million years to set up. Weird, right?

I think it's very close to a 50-50 fight, as good as any that could be made in the sport of boxing.

Usyk has better skills, but Gassiev is also a very good boxer and had an advantage in power.

Surprisingly one-sided poll, can't fault Usyk backers tho. He's skilled, fast, busy, mobile and can take a punch. Ask it before the tournament, he's my pick. Over the past few fights Gas has improved tremendously however, fights like a tank, punches like a mule and delivers with GGG timing & accuracy, a lethal combination.

Should Usyk decide to dance around, he better know RIGHT NOW that he must DOMINATE rounds to win them - close rounds where he lands more with less snap compared to Gas's fewer but head turning blows will not favor him. Better change up beforehand and not complain if judges prefer effective aggression namsayin.

Ring size could play a factor here, any info on that?

Surprisingly, there's a shortage of boxing rings in Russia at the moment.

The fight should be okay to go ahead though.

The Russians have managed to procure a phone-booth for it to take place in.

Gassiev's pressure will be too MUCH for Usyk.
