Not sure if Gassiev could hang with half the guys in my gym. Not kidding at all.

Everything is off the front foot.. just non-stop punching. I wish he'd sit down on a shot once in awhile... it's frustrating to watch someone dominate so much but not even come close to hurting the other guy.

 

This fight is a one-sided schooling similar to Calzaghe vs Lacy or more recently Saunders vs Lemieux

 

R1 - 10-9 Usyk (clear) - All class from Usyk
R2 - 10-9 Usyk - It's a masterclass so far. Too much skill.
R3 - 10-9 Usyk - Gassiev ain't winning this on points, that's for sure.
R4 - 10-9 Usyk
R5 - 10-9 Usyk - Usyk is an A-level guy. Gassiev isn't.
R6 - 10-9 Usyk - The first 6 couldn't have gone any better for Usyk.
R7 - 10-9 Usyk - Gassiev can't do anything with him.
R8 - 10-9 Usyk - Gassiev sticking with it but doesn't have enough.

 

Rinse and repeat. Gassiev plodding around looking like he's trying to catch smoke with his bare hands. 8-0 Usyk.

 

Christ, did Gassiev run out of energy? He looks more finished than Usyk.

 

The movement and activity level of Usyk is something that no CW could live with- looking forward to him moving up to HW.

I am in awe of Uysk's speed and footwork. Gassiev must be so frustrated, he can't get anything going save the odd (hard) pot shot

 

You may well be right, however styles make fights and I could possibly see Gassiev's size and strength beating Briedis.

 

Usyk is insanely talented. He’d **** everyone at heavyweight up too lol

 

"That punch", exactly. That one punch. You don't win a round with a single blow, however impactful (sans a knockdown), unless the other guy did literally jack squat.
