As impressive as usyk was, gassiev brought absolutely nothing. It was usyks easiest fight for years.

I'm baffled by gassievs tactics thinking he could out box usyk.

Makes a lot of sense now, it looked like a guy who was more right hand dominate. He really favors that right foot and puts almost no weight on his back foot. I mean it seems to work well for him boxingwise.. but guys who fight southpaw when they are righties tend to lack power.. and he's no exception (unlike Loma, who still has power)

His problem was that he didn’t try to box. He was trying for a lucky one punch the whole fight. He didn’t jab, he didn’t set anything up, he didn’t cut off the ring. His problem was that he had given up on boxing Usyk from the start. He didn’t have to outbox Usyk, he just had to box to create opportunities for that big punch.

 

Where do you get this from? I’m sure I’ve seen Usyk write and play sports with his left hand.

 

I should have worded it better, what I meant is it looked like he was happy to fight from a distance even though he was losing every round. He didn't try and rough usyk up at all.

That was pretty damn impressive! I expected Gassiev to at least make it competitive
