We knew that Ngannou can actually punch a bit even if it doesn't translate directly from mma so the threat would be lessened but because of the sheer size of heavyweights it's still there. I read a lot years ago in depth about why McGregor carried power in mma but wouldn't in boxing, I'm sure Malignaggi explained it well. You would think with kickboxing a fighter knows how to correctly transfer that power into purely a boxing contest far more naturally and intelligently, since its legs and fists rather than all the martial arts and grappling.
