I thought Fury had a reasonably strong case for winning three of them, and I shaded the third to him even though I debated calling it even. To be honest, I kinda think the AI card probably reflected how the fight unfolded.

Tbh that Chisora fight was Usyks first at the heavyweight division and was a test for Usyk. The Usyk of today will embarass that Chisora a lot more easily.

What the heck does Biden have to do with boxing??? He probably doesn't know where he is at this point. Let alone know who Usyk or Fury is.

Someone needs to make a compilation of Fury's 2024: His reaction to Ngannou getting starched, him not looking at Usyk during that one stared own, his face when he went down in the first fight and that face he made when the result was read

Well, almost every round was competitive, and Fury was having regular success in every one, so I could understand anyone in even a little excited environment having it basically even all night. I suspect though, when you do watch it back, you'll notice that after midway Usyk kept securing those competitive rounds.

    I've got a question.

If this is what Fury looks like when he shows up in shape for an elite level athletic competition.

How fat does he get in retirement?

I was texting in two different group chats and here throughout fight and felt like I was only one who had it wide for Usyk.
I could be wrong and will watch it again of course but I said throughout, even in here, it felt very easy for Usyk. He was cruising.

Landed body shots and jabs at will. And for 35.5 mins he chased Fury around the ring. A fury who resorted to cheap back hands, behind the head shots, elbows and headbutts all night.

You ever seen Austin Powers? Specifically the second one. There's a character there that prolly gives us a pretty good idea.

Honestly worried his retirement is going to be a short one.

And not because he gets back into the ring.

Reckon you could make a fair argument for either man to win or a draw tbh. Fury fought well tonight. Couldnt have done much better tbh. So many close rounds.

wife update: she’s been located, wrapped up like a cocoon in about 6 blankets, in bed passed out. Half eaten slice of pizza on the bed next to her, half drank beer on the nightstand.

her stated goal was to sleep the entire day. Looks like she may achieve it.

for context: she’s an elementary school teacher and the week before Xmas break is always hell for her because the students are too excited for break to behave. She managed to pull off their winter play thing successfully, and then right after, we took our own kids to some Xmas market thing and then ice skating. She’s earned her day of sleep. Humorous as it is.

Tyson Fury might lose motivation and heart from this and maybe even retire.

It must be soul breaking to isolate yourself from your family for months on end and still not get the result you were hoping for
