Okay, I take back my attack on ODLH, who looked coked out of his gourd, they went to him mid-fight and I'm pretty sure he had Fury well ahead. But he clearly course corrected by the end, saying Usyk swept the second half, so good on him. But not shocking, he's the least sleazy of the lot, which is really saying something.

Speed, power,IQ and youth can bring you a long way, even against Usyk

Yes, those that had either of these fights close much have turned a blind eye to much of Usyk's body work. He was constantly getting clean jabs and lead lefts thorugh and edged a lot of competitive rds for me thay way.

As you say 6-8 and 11-12 can hardly be disputed, so every other round has to go to Fury for him to with, which is just bonkers,

It's always seemed to me like the clever amateur who mastered the professional game, vs the clever professional who could fight amateur style.

For Usyk it means being able to adapt, react, score rounds, and manage a fight to a conclusion; for Fury it's shorts, beards, elbows, mind games, using his size and ultimately survival. But there's no doubt they can both box and are both tough as nails.

In a sense it's a classic match-up we won't see in the game very often unless we're blessed with the likes of Lomachenko and Usyk again.

I've still got to re-watch it later today. I always do when I was under some considerable alcohol influence watching the live event.

I'll probably make it a wider points win for Usyk too on the sober viewing...

I didn’t score it rather just sat back and enjoyed the fight. On that basis I thought it was very close tbh and thought it could have gone a point either way but edged to usyk. My thoughts were Tyson more early and usyk down the stretch. Neither really hurt each other badly both had good work, though usyks good work was more clean and eye catching. And he seemed have Tyson ragged at times

I don’t agree. With anyone either way saying it was a clear win (as in one sided) either way, BUT it’s different just watching a fight and enjoying it than scoring each end properly so do that later and see

That said what a fighter usyk is, four stone lighter, smaller, seemingly everyone against him but just does the business again. 5-0 against fury, Dubois and Joshua. Hope he retires now top, and aj and fury have a little wooden spoon battle next year at then call it too

Inoue fights dudes his own size. Usyk has to get in there with guys who are huge in comparison. Fury was nearly 60lbs heavier and 6in taller. Let me know when Inoue gets in there with a cruiser.

Inoue is great. But given that Usyk has now run through a gauntlet of giants and beaten every single one, I don’t get how he isn’t the #1 p4p.

There’s one thing he could do. He could fight the winner of Dubois-Parker to become undisputed again, then retire as undisputed. That actually would add to his resume. And even if it proves a bridge too far and he loses, it’s alright, that is a very understandable risk to have taken and doesn’t detract from his accomplishments.

besides, I think he can take both Dubois (again) and Parker.

I feel your pain brother. I’m turning 54 this April and I’ve been working 2 jobs since 2008. Icing in the cake I have a 3 almost 4 year old running around. ( that’s what happens when your second wife is 18 years younger and wants a kid to bring the family together lol )At first the odd time annoyed me but then I realized it actually was pretty good.

Question. The sword that Uysk was carrying around… did he bring that or was that from winning? This might have been answered already, I just started the RBR and I’m reading it I’m only on page 152 ATM

Crazy the amount of people online getting their knickers in a twist over 116-112 and then when you engage with them for their verdict "The right man won definitely but I had it 115-113"....so, 1 round difference to the judges?

yeh it’s almost like a lot of people don’t understand how scoring a boxing bout works
