oh FFS. This rematch business is getting ridiculous.

Enough with the merry-go-round of the same popular fighters getting title shots over and over again. IF Fury hadn't strung us all along (and held up the division) for the last two years that would be one thing.

It's time for some new blood to get a chance. Hrgovic (rate him or not) has been kept waiting way too long. A champion defends his belts. Sport is not meant to be all about making the most money

If the Saudi's and Fury want a big fight, make Joshua v Fury AND Usyk v Hrgovic. Let's get this division moving again

I think Fury actually showed something in his game that could potentially trouble Usyk. I've followed Usyk since 2012 and I have NEVER seen someone win three consecutive rounds against him. I don't think I've seen someone win two. I've certainly not seen him outwitted as he was for a spell in this fight. This alone make the rematch very intriguing.

Fury is pretty clearly physically diminished, but he's no dummy. If this lights a fire in him as one last shot before calling it a day I give him an outside chance of finding a way to win. Usyk is clearly a favorite, but there's plenty from the first fight for Fury to draw hope from.

This fight sure as hell warrants more of a rematch than Usyk-Joshua.

I really wanted him to retire after this win but Joshua is still the only heavy out there who I think has a remote shot at beating him. It would be nice to see him active as p4p no.1 for maybe a year at least. It's a tough one. Would a few title defense's boost his legacy much?

I believe Fury can beat him. Just dont balloon up now, instead ztay fit and make the fight.
Less clowning, more pressure fighting forward and when he tires more clinching when Usyk gets close.
Usyk could easily age overnight with his style. He already looked slower.
    Usyk should retire though

Fury learns his lesson, stays to the body and stops him.

Usyk would be the favorite. He still doesn’t like it to the body though.

I'm gonna go against the grain here.

Fury comes in strong, heavy and attempts to bulldoze Usyk to a stoppage in an attempt to mimic Wilder 2. He can't outbox Usyk over 12 rounds and he knows it.

Still a 50/50 in my eyes.

Usyk/Fury 2 in October ... with Joshua/Hrg-Dub winner for the IBF around the same time.

    Winners meet early 2025.

I'm not sure defending his titles means that much to be honest. He's comprehensively beaten AJ twice. He's beaten Fury. Nobody else in the division is any chance of beating him and he's now 37 years old and clearly missing his family.

I could very well be wrong, but I think the great man will take his bows and sail off into the sunset.

No clue. It was close and could go the other way next time. I'm happy that I got the outcome I wanted this time. That's enough.

I actually think Usyk may very well retire. He’s done all there is to do, although I listened to a podcast with Dan Rafsel who half seriously suggested Usyk could win a Bridger title and thereby be a three division champion..,

if they do fight again I like Usyk to dominate more so, by wide UD or late round stoppage.

Lol at people voting for Fury, especially for his winning by KO. It's cute.

I don't think the fight will happen, though. Warren is already hinting at that. I don't think Fury wants the smoke. He spent two years calling Usyk a middleweight, and that middleweight not only hurt him the most in his career but arguably knocked him out. Fury said "happy new year" after the fight. The poor idiot was battered so badly he thought it was the original fight date of December last year. Usyk literally beat him back to 2023. Despite his classless and disgusting remarks after the fight, Fury knows he lost and lost badly.

So the dynamic has clearly changed between the two. Fury can no longer con the public with the middleweight this, midget that talk. He is the latest victim of the apex predator of the division, and the whole world saw it. Previously, I said Fury wasn’t afraid of Usyk in the physical sense of the word, but he was wary of what losing to Usyk could do to his reputation, legacy, and earning potential. Well, these have all suffered a huge blow indeed. But Fury was battered literally senseless, and now I would say he fears Usyk from a physical point of view too.

So he either retires for good or he goes for the rematch but suffers an even worse defeat. Rematches after a beating like that almost always end up in even worse beatings than the first match. When there is something a fighter can adjust, and they can feel that although they lost, the other guy wasn’t necessarily better than them, just had the better night, often due to some mistake of the fighter on their own, they can be confident about their chances of taking revenge.

Fury’s situation is different. In all honesty, apart from three rounds, he was dominated and then knocked out in the ninth. These things stay with a fighter. There’s nothing Fury could adjust to have a better plan for the next fight. He came in sharp, in form, and prepared. He confirmed how amazing he felt after six months in camp. This was the best Fury his fans could hope for in 2024 in every sense of the word. And Usyk still beat the living daylights out of him.

There’s nothing he can do to change the fact that Usyk is simply on a level above him that he can never reach. Even if they fought ten more times, Usyk would beat him ten more times. So right now, I’d say that was the last we saw of Fury. He might do some exhibition things later on, but I doubt very much he will return to the ring as a professional, let alone face Usyk for a second time.

Usyk won 9 rounds, it wasn't remotely close.

Actually, a Fury win on points is very possible if he can do a bit better. It would be of Usyks better judgement to just retire on top, but I'd like to see a rematch

No rematch needed, Usyk won clearly 118-110. Fury is going to retire/unretire 20 times before he decides what he wants to do.
    Usyk will also retire.

Watch Warren interview, he essentially said the fight won't happen.
