Such a tight matchup isn't it. We got a far more aggressive fight overall than i expected too. I thought there would be more chess played but there was plenty of go forward too.

 

Thanks. My favourite is how Jeff Horn inherited Manny's points after being granted the victory at home. Horn was ranked as the #1 welter I think and one of the best pound for pound, and he often referred to his Boxrec rankings to claim he was one of the best boxers at the time.

Ironically, we have the first undisputed HW for 25 years, who is also the lineal champ, and after winning, he's ranked as #2 by a computer program Makes you wonder what is happening in the world we live in. At least we still have the Ring and their rankings, for what it's still worth.

so thats 6-4 with two swing rounds but also Usyk had a KD.

 

Surprised that usyk got the decision. An Eastern European would never get a decision like this in vegas. Saudi in boxing is a good thing. Very close fight but Usyk edged it for me with the Knockdown round being key. He turned the fight around. I want to see a rematch

 

About 8 rounds is what I had for Usyk as well, I think. Will give it a rewatch, though.

Where are you, boys? Shouldn't you pay your respects to the new undisputed HW king Usyk who just beat Fury senseless? How did you like the scenes in round 9 fro the 'feather fisted middleweight midget'?

 

That fight did the sport proud.. lived up to the billing & no BS... happy for Usyk & although Furys a massive tool hes a warrior

 

In fairness, it's a skill like any other - practicing getting in to hug a bloke who's trying to punch you in the face needs practice as much as the next skill.

It'd be a waste of the sparring rounds you have with a ring IQ like Usyks, when you could do it against lesser men, in fairness.

 

Nah, let Usyk cement an additional 100 million if he wants too ..why not?

Fury is NOT gonna improve from this, he'll decline I think. Both mentally and physically..Usyk will pretty much maintain his capabilities with honest age related decline

A re-match is a cash spinner for both fighters, however, Fury loses even more in a big time career ending way than tonight.

Usyk is just a cut above. Wearing that Ukrainian garb before the fight, I knew he meant business, and wasn't leaving the ring without all the belts. Usyk is The Undisputed and Lineal HW Champion of the World!!
