How about Fulci, Mario Bava, Lamberto Bava, Soavi, Martino, D'Amato, Deodato, Lenzi? How deeply have you gone down the Italian Horror/exploitation rabbit hole?

Even though the question wasn't directed towards me, I'll answer anyway, Suspiria.

Usyk victory, probably by points but a reasonable chance of getting a KO/TKO victory too, as he appears to possess deceptive power.

If they fought at light heavy then I think Ward's chances improve but only by a very slim margin, losing at least 7 or 8 out of 10 times IMO.

All the way down. Sitting on the shelf in my living room is THE BIG BOOK OF MARIO BAVA with full color pics of Diaboliq, Black Sunday, Black Sabbath, Kill Baby Kill, Shock, etc. I have seen just about everything except Baron Blood, which I have never found.

As for Fulci, last year I showed my wife House by the Cemetery, my favorite, and she loved it. If there is a better scene in movie history than the zombie fighting the shark in Zombie, I have not seen it. Also own The Beyond, and have seen House of Clocks, Manhattan Baby, New York Ripper, City of the Living Dead, a few other Horrors, and even his Spaghetti Western, Massacre Time.

As for Soavi, I own Cemetery Man, the Church, and The Devil's Daughter. The first two are masterpieces of some kind. I saw Stage Fright but was extremely drunk.

Lezi- I have seen some of Cannibal Ferrox, but it was not my favorite.

For Lamberto Bava the Demons films, and I think I saw Macabre, but that was when I was drinking a lot. I was just picking Giallos off of the shelf and could not tell you much about it.

For Deodato I have seen all of House at the Edge of the Park, and again, select clips of Cannibal Holocaust.

I honestly had to look up Martino, but yes, I have seen the Visitor.

Also saw a lot from directors not on this list such as Anthrophagus, the Blue Eyes of a Broken Doll, What have You Done to Solange, The Devils' Nightmare, Tombs of the Blind Dead, etc. I realize some of these are Spanish, and I might as well throw in Jean Rollin out of France along with Paul Nachy and Jess Franco out of Spain.

By the way, I met Asia Argento when she was signing in SF about 17-18 years ago. When I was in Rome, my old lady said we did not have time to go to the Dario Argento Museum, but we are going again next year and no force on earth with stop me.

I'm a fanatical fanboy of everything Euro-Horror, and have been since I was a kid, the first film I saw was Argento's Opera when I was around 11 back in 91, it was in my local video store (remember those?) under the title Terror At The Opera, then after that I got my sister to rent me Zombie and The Gates Of Hell aka City Of The Living Dead from Fulci when I was around 12, then Cinemax ran Dellamorte Dellamore (Cemetery Man) back in 94, and I've been hunting them down ever since. When they started releasing them all in the late 90's and early 2000's, that was a dream come true, all the films I'd read so much about in Fangoria were finally a reality as opposed to awesome pictures and the fleeting fantastical films that I'd built around them in my head, and I got basically everyone that came out, wasted 1000's of dollars in all likelihood on them.

I actually prefer Lamberto and his trashier films to his father's who I love dearly as well, I've seen all of Bava's films except for Caltiki The Immortal Monster, and a handful of his sword and sandal films. I have a copy of Baron Blood on DVD, you could probably find one on eBay, but if you can't, they have it up on Youtube, its not like owning it, but if you haven't seen it, the version they have up is in fine condition. I'll PM you the YT link.

I've seen nearly every Fulci film, I did a list earlier this year on Kirks Championships at the top of the General Forum ranking his films as well as a few others, I copied and pasted it at the bottom of the page. I love House Of Clocks, it gets little to no credit because its one of his late 80's TV movies and isn't considered part of his holy canon of masterpieces from the late 70's and early 80's. Seek out Don't Torture A Duckling immediately, you won't regret it, its his masterwork. Murderrock is damn fun and similar in tone to New York Ripper.

Soavi is criminally underrated, sadly those are his only 4 forays into the Horror genre, but everyone is a gem, and Aquarius Stage Fright is brilliant, probably my second favorite film of his behind Cemetery Man. He's a fine director of dramas as well, he did a few Italian TV movies in the 2000's one called Uno Bianca a cops and robbers film, and one of the greatest religious films ever made IMO, called Francesco, and this was long before Pope Francis came along.

I haven't seen a hell of a lot of Lenzi films, but the ones I have were all better than Ferox, which gets the more acclaim, but is far from his best, IMO his best films are Spasmo, the very un-PC titled Black Demons, Hitcher In The Dark, Seven Blood Stained Orchids, Almost Human and Nightmare City.

Like I mentioned above, I adore Lamberto's work, you should seek out as many as you can find, Delirium Photos Of Gloria, Demons III The Ogre, Dinner With The Vampire, Graveyard Disturbance, Monster Shark, Body Puzzle, Until Death, Blastfighter and my personal favorite A Blade In The Dark, they're all quality films, not a dud or slow moving one in the bunch, even Ghost Son, one of his recent films is damn fun and feels very old school.

Deodato made a solid softcore called Waves Of Lust, probably one of the best films he did, Jungle Holocaust is far less abrasive than Cannibal Holocaust and is the far better of the two, but sadly gets none of the credit its notorious successor got. He did a great little trashy backwoods slasher flick here in the US called Body Count, also Cut & Run is decent, I actually saw my first Deodato film in the theaters, when they released The Barbarian Brothers here. House at the Edge Of The Park I prefer to the film it ripped off, Last House On The Left, Cannibal Holocaust I own and have seen twice, didn't enjoy it either time, it was a taste I tried to acquired, but its too damned harsh even for me.

How appropriately named he is for this site... Sergio Martino, he's an underrated genius, probably the best Italian director few have heard of, he's made a slew of seminal giallos, and one of the true templates for slasher films in Torso, I made a list for him down below, seek them out immediately, most are on Netflix at the moment, but they're removing them left and right, so if you have it, get them.

Anthropophagus is from D'Amato, and one of my favorite films, as is his sequel to it, called Absurd, I made a list for him as well. I love the Blind Dead films, I own all 4, as well as De Ossorio's Lorely's Grasp, which is worth seeking out. I've seen all the films you listed here, and Blue Eyes Of The Broken Doll is probably Naschy's best film, I have a shitload of his films, sadly many are still hard to track down in a cleaned up version. All of his Daninsky films are great, but I prefer his non Werewolf work, Panic Beats, Hunchback Of The Morgue, Dracula's Great Love, Inquisition, Exorcismo, Vengeance Of The Zombies along with Blue Eyes are his best work.

I was gong to mention Rollin and Franco, but I thought that might be too obscure, both of them have become near obsessions with me, especially Franco, his filmography is so vast and there's so much trash to sift through to film the diamonds, but the diamonds are so precious, its more than worth it to slog through his trashy cash grabs. Jean Rollin is like my spirit animal, his films touch me on a deep level, as odd as that might sound, I'll PM you some stuff about him later.

That's ****ing awesome, and I'd have not taken no for answer, I would have insisted, and not left Italy without going to the Museum. Here's my lists.

I have OPERA of DVD and DELLAMORTE/DELAMORE on VHS under the name CEMETERY MAN. Two classics, and DELLAMORTE...is some kind of masterpiece. Sure would like to have met Anna Falchi in her prime, too.

CITY OF THE LVING DEAD was just not my favorite, except for the pick through the coffin scene, which also appeared in my favorite Fulci effort, HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY.

Big Mario Bava guy. I think I fell in love with him for BLACK SUNDAY, and one of his crappier efforts, SHOCK, which nonetheless had some amazing scenes, like when the kid becomes and adult right on screen, with no special effects but a slight camera tilt.

I actually think Hollywood is ripping Fulci off now, specifically American horror Story. They are running with the idea of taking all of the numbers from horror films and putting them into a vehicle with dispensable plot.

Dario Argento's protege. He was coming up just as the bottom fell out of the Italian horror film industry. Real shame.

I think I saw SPASMO. Was that the one with the dummy?

The scene in DEMONS where the demon first turns and looks at the screen was classic.

House as the edge of the park was surprisingly effective, if implausible.

Might have seen TORSO. There used to be a store in SF called Le Video were you could find almost anything, and I used to just pull Giallo films off and watch them, one after the other.

Still a big genre in print in Italy. They have Gialli sections in their bookstores.

Like I said in the PM, some of these I have seen under different names. Anthropophagus indeed had a very strange energy to it. BLUE EYES...was sweet and very unusual for him. Most of his films were kind of the horror equivalent of smash and grab, but he could be a stylist when he wanted to.

I think I covered Rollin and Franco in the PM. HUGE Rollin fan, and Franco also had some very good ones. A VIRGIN AMONGST THE LIVING DEAD comes to mind.

I am going next time. No doubt. For years Luigi Cozzi co-owned it.

What about Luigi Cozzi? We forgot him.

Ward wins by low blow KO, maybe he will throw in a headbutt as icing on the cake while Usyk is on his way down.

Usyk would destroy him. Does anyone seriously think Ward is going to jump up 25 lbs. and fight a man of Usyk's size after being retired for 2 years? Usyk is just as good a boxer, stronger, has a size advantage, and is the harder puncher.
