Definitely a terrible weekend of fights. I hate fighters like Doudou who pull that ****. He wasn't injured. He knew he was going to get stopped soon so he faked an injury. Don't pay him. As to Egis, a lousy performance. He didn't do squat. Acted like he was afraid to press the action. He isn't going anywhere, career-wise.

 

The Nail has backspin on his punches, he can land a flush one on ya jaw and ya can feel a minutes later in ya Achilles. You can't teach that.

 

As per Bad Left Hook, Ngumbu suffered a torn calf ligament during his fight with Gvozdyk.

Pretty much suspected that this injury would be a nasty one, given the way he immediately reacted. That look of pain isn't something that anyone can feign easily.

Too bad, because even though he had no business getting a shot at the lineal championship in the first place, he was doing a decent job of staying with his much larger and more powerful opponent. I don't think there was a round I could give him, but he was hanging in there pretty well, given that he was clearly brought in as a virgin sacrifice for The Nail.
