    Well, in general, there's a tendency to use a patronymic name less and less often. It's becoming more like a nuance. In Ukraine there have been efforts to pass a law removing a patronymic name from usage at all and replacing it with пан/пані (Mr./Mrs). Nowadays a patronymic is used to address older people, usually — for example it would be not too polite to address Papachenko just as Anatoly (only Anatoly Nikolaevich). But if somebody in the US said just "Anatoly" to address him, he would be fine, most probably, just smile it off. He would felt younger maybe.
    So, every-time I see those patronymics in RBR thread titles I smile as well :smile: — there's no need to use them at all, if you ask me. Especially when people have problems pronouncing/remembering some boxers' names.

    Yes, exactly. And it would be very interesting to see what plan Gvozdyk/Atlas would use against Jack, because it's rather obvious that the "Stevenson plan" (wear him down first, finish him later) won't work here (they both tried to use that plan, after all :smile:).
