Oh yeah.... the "official" main event is Jose A Valenzuela Gastelum vs. Diego Armando Torres NĂșnez, but since Dana White is a ****ing know nothing casual, I'm only listing the rightful headliners. Which are top tier match ups, even now, as opposed to the squash match topping the card.

Bohachuk-Butaev is the first noble fight between a Ukrainian and a Russian since the start of the war. The fight itself has the makings of an awesome fight, but with this incentive in mind, it could be even more violent.

Gvozdyk should be too good for Kalajdzic. He could get a shot for the WBC belt once Benavidez leaves the division.

Yeah, Hot Rod was getting rocked every other round by the ghost of Sullivan Barrera, while The Nail soaked up a ton of punishment against Benavidez, and came roaring back to close the far stronger of the two. If he's even 70% of that version of Gvozdyk, he takes this with relative ease.

I feel kind of bad for Gvozdyk. Really talented fighter but ended up in the same era as a monster in prime Beterbiev. If he fought, say between 2004 to 2014, he probably would have been the best light-heavyweight in the world.

I'd actually like to see a rematch between the two of them, but with a ref that warns and docks points for rabbit punching.

Yes agreed. I never liked Beterbiev's rabit punching. Beterbiev's shoving and pushing was awful. He should have been penalized for it.

That being said, Gvozdyk faced a much better version of Beterbiev than Bivol did.

    I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch either.

Beterbiev breaks him down again and stops him. Even you know this. Gvozdyk hasn't been mentally the same since that fight. He gave a peak Beterbiev a great fight though so he had some stones on him. Can't say that about the other top light-heavyweights around at the time.

Absolutely, and much younger. I really like Bivol, but clearly Gvozdyk is the tougher of the two, and soaked up far more of a dirtier beating before finally succumbing. In their primes, both The Nail and Beterbiev beat Bivol cleanly.

Beterbiev rematching the winner is a good fight though. Where is Bivol? He holds all of the belts and looks like hes busy clubbing in South Korea judging by his Instagram. Amazing that this guy gets a total pass for literally holding up the entire division for a year and counting.

Possibility, but at this point, who knows how much Beterbiev has left. While Gvozdyk has been relatively inactive, so he's arguably fresher and injury free. So that could even things out a bit. Like I said, with a ref that warns for rabbit punching, it would still probably be a solid match with Gvozdyk again giving it his all. Might even see the final bell.

Gvozdyk looked **** against Benavidez. He'd get stopped again. Prime Gvozdyk wouldn't have lost that fight.

Early... yeah he did, but he gained confidence as the match progressed, and ended up almost sweeping the second half, winning 5 of them. Maybe that was the confidence boost he needed. Going into it, he probably did approach it as a paycheck, until he realized he still had it to a degree. Prime Gvozdyk would've hospitalized Benavidez.
