    I think you're thinking of his opponent Adonis Stevenson, who suffered a brain injury following a loss to Gvozdyk.

    After the Beterbiev loss, Gvozdyk was admitted for like two days on precautions but it was only a mild concussion.

    Boxrec and Gvozdyk's social media, far as this particular fight. His comeback has been in the works since last September, though (as reported at B-scene)

    @BatmanBoxing (Twitter/Instagram/YouTube/Telegram) also reported on Christmas Day that Gvozdyk himself confirmed that his comeback was finally going to start in Q1 of 2023.

    Wow, Beterbiev really breaks peoples spirits, to think that: Gvodzyk, Marcus brown and Joe Smith did not fought since their loses, is sad.

    Gvozdyk was really good and most of the fans were saying that he will school Beterbiev and stop him late.

    Was really disappointing, how he behaved during and after his last fight, his comments about Beterbiev, than about - how Canelo did enough to win against Bivol.

    Good to see him back. Hope he has something left. Felt bad for him that he didn't get any big money in going for the glory against Beterbiev.
