You have to give credit where it's due, Beterbiev is the physically strongest LHW in history and statistically the biggest puncher in his generation and arguably ever, to cross over to the pro ranks.

    Kovalev is neither of these.

But then again how do you know that is outlandish when you never saw the fight? What I was telling you is the general opinion on Russian boxing forums about the fight. So it is not considered outlandish where it counts.

    1. Park Si-Hun OFFICIALLY won vs Roy Jones Jr in the Olympics final. Your point is?
    2. Talent evaluators considered Beterbiev to be a better amateur prospect than Kovalev and did everything to give Beterbiev several chances to prove himself in Olympics, World Championships. Kovalev never got the same chance. Nobody knows what Kovalev could achieve if he could have fought in the Olympics. But, the truth ultimately prevailed and we all see now that Kovalev is a better boxer than Beterbiev. Maybe you don't see that but that is your problem.

It is but I honestly can't think of any light heavyweight in history as physically big and strong as Artur.

Artur actually moved up to compete at heavyweight aka cruiserweight in the amateurs and still overpowered and bullied people there. He has now moved back down for the pros.

If Kovalev performed better, he would have been the star talent. The fact is, Beterbiev went on to not only be the top in Russia, but in the WORLD too. Something Kovalev has failed to do.
Truth hasn't prevailed. Being a better amateur and a worse pro boxer doesn't make you a 'worse boxer'. Amateur and pros are two different branches.

Regardless, Kovalev does look the better boxer, but I think there's a strong likelihood Kovalev would get knocked out and experience flashbacks of being clocked by the middleweight Abbos Atoev.

You're the one making the claim that Beterbiev lost, when there's no video evidence, just a bunch of random guys on a forum doesn't cut it either..I know little about them so I can't judge if they're good posters. All I thus have right now is knowledge of Beterbiev's two wins.

Back to Teslenko. I watched the posted fights (thanks CTS80). He's got talent and speed, but for me still has a lot to learn before he's truly ready for a title shot. I would not put him in the ring even with Wilder right now. Certainly a promising prospect though.

He'd beat him in his 7th pro fight now as well

Many EE fighters would obliterate both AJ and wilder but "they" need their champions so they can market them to "their" demographics.
