First undisputed Cruiserweight and Heavyweight champion in the 4 belt era. Goat crusierweight and now has beaten two very good heavyweights in Joshua and Fury.
Easy to overate the win so soon after the fight but damn, Usyk's achievements as an amateur and now pro are just incredible, best of this era P4P for me, forget Crawford, forget Canelo, Loma and Inoue, Usyk just hit another level none of them have ever reached. He's probably in my top 10 heavyweights of all time now.
I don't know Although I still don't think he's a heavy Floyd or Ray Robinson, he is great He doesn't beat better heavyweights like lewis, however he's a p4p all time great and the man right now
Usyk might be the best cruiserweight of all time, and a great heavyweight. Let's see how the rest of his career at HW before crowning him the GOAT, though.
The judges were a disgrace no way was it that close but i'm so happy for Usyk what a warrior....... I was actually worried for Usyk during middle rounds as it seemed like Fury was getting on top with the body shots. But what a comeback from Usyk in the later rounds!!!!!! Amazingly Usyk was on the front foot and backed up the much bigger man all night i couldn't believe it. The extra weight definitely helped Usyk and he definitely answered all the questions about a supposed weakness to body shots than even i questioned if i'm being honest...... But even though i'm not a Fury fan i'll give him credit he fought a very good fight, and was in the best form he has been in quite some time. It's just Usyk is a special talent and an ATG no question..... What a night of boxing the fight definitely lived up to expectations i'm so happy right now as a boxing fan.
He has now distanced himself from Inoue and Crawford. I had him as the best fighter of the era already before this fight. Now, it's almost even pointless to debate. Crawford and Inoue aren't even in his league.
And went into the backyards of almost everyone else to do it! Weird legacy because so much is at cruiser, but then again with the 200 pound limit and rehydration, his "cruisers" were massive heavies in past eras. I would say that pfp, he is uber elite, and no one will take that away.
He’s gotta be up there. Fury came to fight and fought at a much better level than I thought he had left. Just a great win. I actually thought a draw would of been fair but for the knockdown I thought Usyk knicked it
After his great performance br dropped him to #2 behind Joshua. boxrec being boxrec again https://boxrec.com/en/ratings/M/box-pro/Heavyweight?offset=0
