In the classical p4p sense he probably actually is.. he's regularly getting outweighed on the scales the night before by 20-30lbs. Whereas Floyd was moaning about 2lbs (Canelo) .. in fact he even said leading up to the JMM fight: “I've never fought a guy at a catch weight. I don't fight guys at catch weights. I don't put plaster in my gloves. These are things I don't do, because I'm not that type of guy".. JMM had never fought above 135 when he fought Floyd .. so they agreed to a weight.. which FMJ subsequently broke by coming in at 146 LOL.. Usyk never acts like that.. yes he has a deeper resume, smaller men generally do .. they have more depth to choose from because their are like 3 to 4 divisions in the space of what? 15lbs? On paper they always look greater.. but if you're crying over a couple of pounds here & there, breaking weight agreements etc you're not getting passed off as some p4p god to me.. if Floyd was a natural CW he'd probably fight at LHW & drain the bridgerweights.
Floyd's fight night weight was considerably less than canelo, cotto, Oscar etc He rarely put on weight after the weigh ins You can't judge it for heavyweight like that. Everyone knows that it's different at the heaviest weight Floyd dominated much better opponents for a much lengthier spell and it's not very difficult to judge who is better Look at usyks face after many of his fights. The guy is in many competitve fights and gets banged up a lot, can't say the same for Floyd bar the cotto fight, he rarely left with a mark Floyd is a much better boxer than usyk. He would humiliate many of usyks opponents like bellew fir example who is basic and not even ricky hatton level
Crawford and Inoue have a case of being greater now, today...Usyk is in that company though and may be the best of that group...their careers arent done yet so its tbd
I rate David Haye's victory over Valuev higher than Pac's over Cotto because of this but it's crazy how many people hated on me for it.
Don't even mention Floyd and Manny's name in the same breath as Usyk's. Manny has no skills and he fights like a self-taught hyperactive child with a head the size of a weather balloon and Floyd is a have gloves won't travel pigeon-eyed businessman who is terrified of getting hit and he cherrypicked and stacked the deck his entire career. And both of them were on the sauce and weakened opponents with catchweights and had a huge head start on Usyk. Manny turned pro at 16 and Floyd was raised from the crib to fight and turned pro at 19. whereas, conversely, Usyk didn't even take up boxing until he was 15 and he was going on 27 when he turned pro and he still managed to clock the game amateur and pro and become undisputed at HW when way past his physical prime and all his attributes were very noticeably diminished. Imagine what a same size Usyk would do to them? You don't have to because deep down you already know. Both Floyd and Manny struggled against slickness, Usyk weighing 200lbs is as slick and agile as any leprechaun sized fighter in history and if you scaled him down he would have superhuman speed, reflexes, reaction times, and agility.
Lol, the same usyk who's face was black and blue post Fury and many other fighters who weren't great The same usyk who struggled past chisora and came frome behind vs Bellew? Yeah manny and Floyd used PEDs but the guy from the Eastern block that's notorious for drugs and fights once per year is clean? Lol Manny would beat the s..t out of usyk and Floyd would school him. Fury rounds 4-6 is what Floyd would do for at least 8 rounds and Manny would straight up punish him, as he can more than match him for stamina and he would be throwing from every angle This isn't the amateurs and it isn't overrated stiff fighters who can't move or defend
You mean the same Floyd who wouldn't dare fight outside the protective sanctuary of his homeland his entire career, let alone in his opponent's backyard, and who went life and death against 16 loss journeymen Emmanuel Augustus who was his size not 40lbs heavier and who ''gave him his hardest fight''? The same Floyd who was a punch away from getting sparked out by a PED free Shane who 100% would've done so if he was on his PEDs? The same Floyd who was badly hurt by Chop Chop? The same Floyd who ducked Manny for over half a decade like he had Ebola and who avoided prime greats like they had leprosy and would only fight them if he could cripple them at the negotiating table? The same Floyd who struggled against nearly ever slickster he fought and sparred and against almost everyone who could match him for reach, including being on the receiving end of a boxing lesson for four rounds by 0-0-0 rank novice Sugar Money Mac while the later still had air in his lungs? The same Manny who should be 0-4 against JMM, including getting sparked out cold on his face for the best part of an hour, which FTR is what imbued Floyd with the courage to grow a pair and finally stop ducking Manny? The same Manny who was violently KO'd two other times in his prime by bums? Usyk is fighting giants, murderous punchers, and murderous punching giants in a real man's division not a leprechaun division and he was already past his best and much slower by the time he moved up to HW, let alone by the time he conquered it. So of course he's going to get marked up sometimes but I'll take that over getting brutally KO'd x 3 in the midst of your prime or being a cherrypicking ducking businessman who wouldn't dare pull an Usyk once and fight outside his homeland during his entire sham of a career The USA is Steroid Central you gotta lot of nerve trying to insinuate a god-fearing man of Usyk's integrity and high moral character is a PED cheat like Floyd, Manny and Belly. You should be ashamed of yourself Keeping worshipping false idols and reminiscing about the bums of yesteryear. The next pint of copium is on me
Canelo's weight excuse is a myth prior to facing Mayweather he weighed 153 pounds then when he fought Mayweather he was 152 pounds which is a grand total of 1 pound difference. And Canelo never weighed in at 154 pounds in any fight prior to Mayweather. Plus when Canelo got into the ring vs Mayweather he was 165 pounds so he had a 15 pound weight advantage and Mayweather was 37 years old. Yet i don't hear anyone ever say Canelo had a 15 pound weight advantage or that Mayweather was 37 years old. Yes i agree the JMM catchweight fight was BS but looking at Mayweather's whole career he trumps Usyk by quite a significant margin. Let me ask you this how many fighters has Usyk beaten who are considered future hall of famers ? 0 at this point. How many hall of fame fighters did Mayweather and Pacquiao beat ? i would imagine somewhere in the region of 15. I agree the smaller weight classes generally have more depth so it's hard to compare, but Usyk is not exactly this unbeatable mythical fighter either that people make out he is. Usyk had a very close fight vs Breidis, was behind on points vs Bellew prior to the KO, had a very tough night vs Chisora, and the Dubois shot whilst technically low according to the rules wasn't exactly in his crown jewels either and part of the punch did land on the abdomen. So whilst i give Usyk credit for beating bigger guys and he does deserve significant credit for it. Let's also put into perspective that Joshua has been dominated twice by Dubois, Ruiz. Fury has came close to losing to an MMA fighter, Wallin, and has been floored 8 times in his career. Good wins in regards to the size difference ? absolutely. But neither fighter would be in my top 20 Heavyweights so that's how i look at it.
Plenty of steroid cheats are God fearing Floyd and manny fought way more fighters that are levels above the bellew, huck and Fury types If you want to live in a delusional fantasy land that usyk is the Goat? By all means, but 99.99% will disagree Goats don't struggle with a bum who scraped by an mma fighter just previous
Glass Jaw Roy handpicking Ruiz is in no way comparable to what Usyk has done. Lennox Lewis was THE champion not John friggin Ruiz who was the worst of the bunch at the time and the lone reason Roy picked him
RJJ started off as a Middleweight and was 5'10 with a 72 inch reach how can you compare that to Usyk who is 6'3 78 inch reach and has had Heavyweight fights in WSB from 2013 which was a decade ago where he weighed 211 pounds ? clearly Usyk has always been Heavyweight sized he's just not a "Super Heavyweight" and he has bulked up and put on some weight as he's got older as we all do.
Yes, like Holyfield. Usyk is a devout Christian not a faux one. He lives the life not pretends to for show They fought more fighters because they started running the race way earlier than Usyk. If Floyd or Manny took up boxing aged 15 they wouldn't have achieved a fraction of what Usyk did. You mean like Floyd getting his ass not only whooped but outslicked and outskilled by rank novice MMA fighter 0-0-0 Sugar Money Mac? Belly didn't even train a lick for this monster. Look at that power This content is protected And everyone knows that MMA>>boxing Belly trained like a monster for Usyk and the only reason the fight was competitive is because Belly pulled a Floyd and shamelessly ducked Usyk for years to try and age him out. That's what you're worshipping at the altar of: Duckers, cherrypickers, have gloves won't travel deck stacking businessmen and roid freaks, whereas, I worship at the altar of God and men of high moral character at the Holy Church of Usyk.
Usyk is A great boxer and appears to be a greater man for sure than Floyd and manny, but boxer? Not for me But we can disagree
