Oleksandr Usyk is clearly the best fighter of the 21st century uncontested.

Now most would love to give that claim to Floyd and Pac tards (what a word haven't seen that one in a long time?) would say him

But Usyk fought anyone, anytime, anywhere, no A side advantages(ok that dubious ref was a little biased but so what), no nothing just the groin guard over his belly button, the big balls he carries around and a pair of gloves.

He makes Floyd look like a coward quite frankly. Now we'll give Floyd the benefit of never fighting out side of Vegas is a business move but still.

When Usyk moved to heavyweight his eye was always on the big prize, big momma Fury his best mate greedy belly but he never looked past a single man he fought on his way to that prize and even now when he should really retire he will fight dubious yet again.

    Let’s not be silly.

He cleaned out a very deep and competitive CW division. And he beat some very good fighters.

He then beat AJ and Tyson twice each, as well as Dubois.

    That’s a great achievement.

That’s as good as anything Floyd did, considering who he fought and at what point.

Usyk is an ATG no doubt but Mayweather and Pac did it for longer. They were both the number 1 P4P by far. Usyk is still the number 1 P4P for me but its not particularly clear.

Usyk needs a couple wins to help his case eg - Dubois and winner of Parker/Kabayel.

Boxing is about skill but more importantly the perseverance and fighting spirit of the human soul. Now Floyd is incredible and nobody can deny that but if the conditions weren't right he wouldn't be in that ring because he understands this sport of risk and calculates such. Usyk puts his faith in god and just wanted to fight the best nothing more or less.

Resume nit picking is lame, most of Floyd welter career was fluffy money making and he still avoided Amir Khan for christs sake when that was the clear money fight. Says it all. Usyk would have fought Khan and beat him. Floyd saw risk and didn't go for it. Margarito also. Not enough power to keep him off. Maidana the same.

Mayweather and Pac are known well outside of Boxing among sport fans. The only people who have any really know who Usyk is are people who frequent Boxing forums.

Mayweather and PAC are like Metallica and 2Pac. Usyk is like a weird obscure punk rock band.

Should we judge based on popularity?

Depends what part of the world you are in.

Giving almost everyone a "like" here. Usyk, Mayweather and Pac are all uber-elite, and yes, they all had different paths to get there.

Yes we should. Boxing is entertainment. If you fail to entertain nobody will give a **** about you. Gladiator got that part right about the fight game.

I think it becomes a problem if you only judge a fighter mainly based on popularity.

Depends on what part of the world you are from when you are Usyk yes.

Mike Tyson, Ali, Mayweather, and Pac are super famous all over the world wherever you go.

Maybe Tyson. I am not sure that is really true of Mayweather or Pac. When you say "the world," I think you are thinking of the West. Pac is certainly famous in Asia, that is true.

    Resume win/loss
    H2H
    And buzz created/popularity

Mayweather and Pac score very high on all of those.

No we should judge them on ranked wins, hof wins, longevity, resume, punch stats etc

No, it is Manny Pacquiao. I have tons of respect for Usyk and think he's the best fighter of his era. Pacquiao had a better career.

Usyk's legacy is a bit damaged because Fury was an alcoholic past his prime.

Whereas Pac was lining up great fighters in their prime like Marquez, Barrera, Cotto, Morales, etc.

    It's not the same.
