Envy is one of the seven deadly sins.

The title of male fighter of the year doesnt sound very inclusive.

    Envy of what?

I happen to be very fond of the three best heavyweights on the planet. Fury, Joyce & Usyk. I wish them all nothing but the best.

But I'll pretend that Usyk getting love gets under my skin all day every day because it's funny.

I'm in a talking sense kind of mood, so if you have any questions where you want my unbiased viewpoint you've got a small window right now.

Like Mike Tyson, I'll bite. What is your educated opinion on these three, both overall and, potentially, head to head?

Joe Joyce will become champion, the problem is lining up a belt. He is the biggest threat to this new style of Fury. Old Fury would just outpoint him as Usyk hopes he can do to Fury next year.

Usyk has already achieved his maximum. I think he gets unstuck when he faces a proper heavyweight who won't tire & will be willing to take a punch to give one. He has to use his feet to beat Fury & Joyce, I'm not sure he has that in him anymore as a blown up cruiserweight 36 years old. I might be wrong. The benefit is he has only one way to beat a Joyce/Fury so can commit to a gameplan. Fury can mix it up but tactically choosing when to execute is tough, he needs his corner to be honest something AJ's corner failed twice against Usyk. Fury knows when he is falling behind on scorecards though. He boxes like a pessimistic against smaller guys who look to win rounds.

Usyk made a joke this week about Joyce saying no he doesn't want to fight him he is a tank...and in comparison 2013 Joyce (240 pounds) in foam gloves who Usyk fought was merely a jeep. If Fury big mans Usyk to a TKO then this current Joyce will do it even more brutally.

    Who'd begrudge it?

He cemented his status as #1 contender with a fine performance.
