    Yeah I know. He trained him in the pros too but that was just for his pro debut. Usyk hooked up with Bashir after that. What I meant was, and I should've been more clear, that Usyk was still consulting Papa Loma and IIRC also training with him sometimes when he was with Bashir.

    Yea I think they are super close friends with Loma and his father. It's so amazing how people from the same country can support each other!

    I concur.

    Tought break in the short term for Bashir, but he'll overcome it in the long run: his stock's done nothing but go up thanks to his work with Usyk, and there's not exactly a surplus of good trainers out there.

    They're nice and friendly now, but I see Lomachenko going up to heavyweight, winning a belt and unifying with Usyk in 2 years... then the friendship will be put on hold.
