So because you cannot watch it in the US it isn't all that good?

See this is what I mean, Ward beats a past prime Kessler, Allan Green (LOL), Abraham who wasn't great at 168 and Froch (who lost to Kessler and got lucky against perennial underachiever Dirrell) and because it was watched in the US that equates t him being an ATG?

Yet here we have Usyk who has already beat Glowacki, Huck if he beats Briedis and then either Gassiev or the Cuban that will all be with 15 fights, yet because it's not shown on US cable the tournament doesn't mean anything...LOL.

 

Exactly! The United States best export is culture. Why do any of these guys even come here to box if its not the best place to become valid and make money?
You think Usyk is gonna play the Ottke card? At some point he has to feed his family and rubles don't go far. Don't play yourself and definitely don't try to convince me that fighting in this tournament is going to set his family up for life. He is either going up to HW and fighting in the UK or here or he going to be a well decorated nobody at 200lbs.

When I did work for the Klitschkos, years ago, we had a real problem promoting them in America............they really wanted to fight in America, but were always discriminated against. I remember reading in the paper, Las Vegas, lies about the Klitschkos, fights that were not shown in the US, I would watch those fights, knew they were lied about. When Vitali had the bad injury while he was out boxing Byrd, he had to stop or end his career, the boxing media said that Byrd knocked him out, others said that Vitali was hurt badly, no, it had nothing to do with Byrd, nothing at all.......................Vitali had a rough surgery in Germany, he sent us pictures. Vitali had had problems with his shoulder before the fight, but fought anyway, after that he never fought with an injury again...............both kickboxing and boxing together took a toll, Vitali took off 4 years, then came back and won the WBC title from Sam Peter in the 8th round, it was an incredible performance. Michalczewski was also lied about, Roid Jones refused to fight him, even HBO tried to get Jones to fight him,but instead, HBO paid Jones to fight postal workers (Thornton), janitors, garbage collectors, etc., we missed so many good fights and fighters..........how many times have we had to watch a sparring session on HBO or Showtime, the house fighter undefeated, while the other fighter was badly over matched? You can watch sparring in the gym...................I hope that someday Eastern European fighters will be able to get fair treatment in America. Kovalev said, after losing a decision he should have won, he said that boxing is a sport, not politics...................when I pay for a PPV fight I want it to be on the level.................if not, I get angry.............We are not getting to see so many of the Eastern European fighters coming up the ladder, such as Sirenko....................Usyk should win the tournament, then he will probably move up to heavyweight......................where he will have to use all his skills, he is good fighter. Kovalev was a legit fighter, won the titles, then they were actually stolen from him, yes, he was badly cheated and no matter how much evidence, he has not gotten his day in court...............Bivol, Gassiev, Beterbiev..................why doesn't Adonis Chickenson have to fight the best out there. Why does Wilder not have to fight anyone who can fight back? Povetkin is being blacklisted, they are waiting for him to get old, he is 38 now! Oscar is trying to destroy Golovkin's entire career by not allowing him to fight...................he will be inactive which is not good for him...................Oscar knows it too................Lomachenko can't get a fighter to fight him................The rankings are really bad.......................

 

No. ATG careers are built over years of being at the top not just from a few wins.

 

Have you seen the division recently? It is five times better than the HW, plus the top dogs are facing each other in amazing fights.

 

It's definitely not 5x better.

Joshua vs Klitschko was better than any fight in the CW division last year.

 

You can't count on one fight for the whole division. And what was next ? Joshua vs Takam. HW is all about money and corruption. How many heavyweights were caught with PEDS in the last years and then they were still fighting after paying huge fees? Basicly for the last couple of years , there was one exciting fight and it was Klitschko vs Joshua.

There were a few good HW scraps and a few good CW scraps but how many memorable CW fights have there been in the last 2 years?

Money/Corruption/PEDs are not limited to the HW division...

CW is on fire! Exceptional time for it..

 

I cannot wait for the rest of the WBSS, but Usyk's real glory lies in the HW division.

 

5x better how ? And thats an irrelevance anyway no ATG in HW division yet either.
