Tyson's record at very heavyweight doesn't get the credit it deserves sometimes. It gets underrated by hardcore fans sometimes partly because a lot of it was squeezed into a 4/5 year period.

Tyson was Spinks' last fight. He was past his prime.
Larry was 38 and well past his prime.
Tucker was pretty good. Probably Tyson's best win considering he beat Tucker in his prime.
Bruno, Ruddock, Berbick, Thomas, Smith, Biggs, Williams, Stewart, Seldon, Botha, Golota all not relevant. None of them would have been champion in the era before or after them.

    Now let's look at losses.

Buster Douglas - fringe contender who couldn't beat any of the top guys except Tyson.
Human decency - raped a girl and did time for it
Evander Holyfield x2 - couldn't beat someone who stood up to him
Lennox - absolutely love watching that spanking. I put it on sometimes when I'm sad and it makes me happy to see Lennox toy with Tyson, so much so that Manny Steward started cussing Lennox out
    Danny Williams (Tyson was 38)
    Kevin McBride (Tyson was 38)
Not even going to count Jake Paul

Now let's look at Usyk's losses....

Hold on, still looking for one.

Surely he lost to the 6'9" Champion or the 6'6" champion?
Or maybe he lost to the only other champion? Nope.
Maybe he lost when he was at cruiser....nope.

Anybody got his amateur record? We're going to have to go back a ways to find the last time Oleksander the Great lost a fight.

You can't reason with someone who thinks this.

What were his "questionable victories"? Briedas is the only one who won enough rounds to make it really competitive.

Lmao what nonesense, most of them would definitely have picked up titles in today age unless they had to fight Usyk. That collection would probably triple the talent pool if they were around today

Fury was 36 which is older than Spinks BTW and was past his prime also he retired after the Usyk fights yes ? why are you not mentioning that ?

Why do you pick and choose your narrative when you dislike a fighter ?

Yes Holmes was past his prime but i already said he had alot left in the tank as evident by his performances in the 90s.

Again was Tyson the only fighter to stop Holmes/Spinks who had over 100 fights combined and over 30 world title fights yes or no ?

How many fighters in this era would've been champion in the 70s or 90s ? what you're saying is irrelevant.

And i would say the Heavyweights in the 80s like Witherspoon, Tucker, Tubbs, Page, Dokes, Thomas, Williams, had more talent than most of the Heavyweights in this era now.

The fact is Tyson has many more quality wins at Heavyweight hence he rates higher than Usyk at Heavyweight it's as simple as that.

A fringe contender who beat Greg Page, Oliver McCall, Trevor Berbick, who were all world champions remind me again how many fighters Fury has beat who held world titles ? Wilder ? Old Wladimir ? that's about it.

Rubbish Tyson beat plenty of fighters who stood up to him Ruddock for one it's one the biggest myths ever that none of Tyson's opponents stood up to him in his prime.

    Cool story bro.

I'm still looking for a proper rebuttal from you since you didn't address any of the points i'll bring them up again.

Tyson 12 world title wins at Heavyweight.

Usyk 5 world title wins at Heavyweight.

Tyson has 12 wins over ranked Heavyweights.

Usyk has 4 wins over ranked Heavyweights.

So why should Usyk be rated above Tyson at Heavyweight ? i ask again.

    I totally agree with this

Mike Tyson may have had more potential than Usyk but he left a lot on the table

    P4P Usyk
    HW Usyk
    Overall Usyk

It's a foregone conclusion. At this point it's actually disrespectful to even compare Tyson to Usyk.

Usyk is a boxing genius who has completely the entire game pro and amateur, who hasn't even slowed down aged 38. Makes no excuses, does everything the hard way. Has never lost, has never been dropped. Ability wise he has absolutely everything, and mentally he couldn't be any stronger. Tyson can't even be put in the same sentence as him.
