2011 World Amateur gold medallist and 2012 Olympic gold medallist at heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk joins Vasyl Lomachenko and signs with Top Rank, it isn't clear weather he'll fight at CW or HW yet but if you haven't seen much of him i'd recommend watching the video of him beating the brakes off huge punching HW Medzhidov over 5 rounds in WSB, very talented fighter.

It would make more sense for him to start his pro career at CW and see how it goes.

I'm a little concerned that Arum just used him as bait to get Lomachenko. Does Bob even deal with Cruiserweights?

This is great news. They both finally signed and with a top American promoter. Now they will get managed correctly and showcased on U.S. TV, yet people are bitching about who will be their fan base.

Open minded boxing fans who appreciate the sport with no media programming as to who or what should represent a boxing champion.

Respect for TR in signing a bunch of foreign fighters as of late. They are the future of the sport and TR will be at the pinnacle of promotions for including these guys in their stable.

Good luck keeping pace Golden Boy...

Lomachenko at 126 and Usyk at 190 are going to be incredible in those respective weightclasses. This is not meant to inflame or disrespect the sport but after a year of professional training they will easily be the class of their divisions. One could make an arguement they would be the best right now!

Same, i can't think of a single CW Top Rank has ever promoted and Kayode who is now a HW and BJ Flores who is semi retired are the only US based CW's at all. The whole division is in Europe even Cunningham signed with Sauerland. I worry quite a bit about his career because of this.

CW is 200lbs and Usyk was 208/209lbs in WSB.

Top Rank has signed some good prospects/contenders lately. Vargas, Abregu, Allakhverdiev, Mayfield, Beltran, Lomachenko, Valdez, Shiming, Verdejo, Ramirez, Murata, Shafikov & Usyk.

I really like this kid, great talent

Very quick and reflexive fighter. Always fun to watch big guys with technical talent
