Size them up, their speed is the same. Power increases proportionally

Does Usyk beat them all ?

    Size-ups don't work. It's a totally pointless speculation.

You mean if they were all scaled down to the same size, had the same style and were in their prime?

    I would put it

    Loma
    Roy
    Beterbiev
    Usyk

If you sized up Roy to Usyk size

And left Loma as baby leprechaun size

Loma would still have a way better chin than Roy

Sized up doesn't quite work but even if it did, i think Usyk would be 50-50 in these match ups.

Beterbiev is probably the hardest match up for him stylistically.

He doesn't beat Roy, no chance
He lost his chin after draining himself back down, but a prime roy jones is the best fighter I have ever seen and that includes Floyd and Pacquiao (others like leonard and duran before my time). In his prime he didn't lose rounds, especially to cans like Bellew, Bredis and Chisora (that is disrespectful, but that is how they would look vs Roy)

This is not me hating usyk. You guys are either clueless, or have clear bias towards usyk. Roy is much better than everyone on that list

I think he beats the others, but Crawford is tricky. Lomachenko hasn't the the fight IQ to win. Usyk does to a prime Beterbiev that Bivol did in the rematch, but he would come through some danger

I can't see him beating Roy.

I agree Roy is the most gifted fighter i have ever seen.

However, i don't see Breidis as a can. He was an iron jawed fundementally sound fighter with a big right hand. Breidis is better than any of Jones's wins except for Toney and Hopkins IMO.

I think Roy would be a terrific match up vs Usyk. If Roy was in his prime at cruiser vs Usyk at cruiser, i would see Roy winning. He has that amazing left hook that would bother Usyk and those lightning lead rights.

But Usyk is a high volume fighter who would have some success due to his high volume. Plus his left hand is bound to land at some point. I genuinely see this as a 50-50 fight. It wouldn't shock me to see Roy win.

Of course he isn't a can, but imagine a sized up Roy vs Breidis. How many rounds do you think Roy loses? I doubt he loses any, or certainly not more than 1 or 2

I am not sure the 5'10 bulked Roy beats usyk at CW (he might?), but in some nonsense, BS child fantasy where they are equal dimensions? I have to pick Roy. I even pick Roy to beat Floyd, who I would also favour over Usyk (in a more competitive fight)

Roy was superman, videos don't do it justice.

Oh yes i forgot about size up.

I still think if Roy was say, around 185-190 in his prime, and if he fought Usyk who weighed around 210 at cruiser, it could go either way.

But size up? Oh sure. I don't think Roy would lose. Jesus. He was a special special fighter. I adore Usyk. Usyk is a pretty gifted fighter who has maximized his talent through a mastery of fundementals and dedication.

Roy Jones Jr. was Superman and Captain America all rolled up in one guy. You can't teach someone to fight like that.

Agreed, it's why no matter how text book someone like Floyd was, it wouldn't help him vs Roy

Roy was like Ali, different, but similar that you wouldn't teach anyone to fight like that. Roy was a freak. Roy's fall has been dramatic, but had he retired after Ruiz, or when he recaptured the LHW title?he would be viewed so differently

Max kellerman put it best. Roy was still in his prime, while Floyd was coming into his and nobody at the time thought Floyd was better than Rjj

Something to consider is, Usyk has/had the speed advantage over his opponents. He won't have that against Roy. His output may not be as high because of that.

So Roy Jones takes even more steroids in this scenario?

He was in his prime and the massive favourite, when he got his ass kicked by Tarver who was the same age.

''Got Any Excuses tonight Roy'' :risas3:

Suddenly Roy wasn't prime no more AFTER Tarver beat his ass LOL. Sure!! lol that's bull****.

Don't put Jones Jr even in the same sentence as the great Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk has always had a great chin, not one made of paper mache like Tarvers son.
